Neighbourhood
The location is situated close to the town centre, less than a 5 minute drive or a 15-20 minute comfortable walk. All that Lake Wanaka has to offer is only a short walk or quick bike ride away. Beautiful Bremner bay is very close, perfect for a summer swim or a leisurely walk around Lake Wanaka's edge. A wonderful walk from Bremner Bay will take you to Eely Point Recreational Reserve which is a popular boat access point.
Getting to my home
Wanaka is a small town and does not have public transport. I would strongly suggest hiring a car when visiting New Zealand to allow you the freedom to see and do many tourist hotspots as well as provide you the opportunity to be intrepid.
Nearest airport
Wanaka Airport (small local airport - more for skydiving and scenic flights): 11 km
Queenstown Airport: (the main hub into the Central Otago area) 65km
Getting Around
You can walk into town. This will take 15-20mins. However for trips further afield I would recommend hiring a car.
