General Overview

I love everything. I love that we are walking distance to the Old Town, where there are concerts in the park during the summer with food trucks, the park itself for the kids, the restaurants, and the Santa Fe trail is 2 blocks from our house (it is gorgeous). I love that this is a sleepy town, close to the hustle and bustle, but not in it. We are close to Denver, Colorado Springs, Air Force Academy, and the Great Wolf Lodge. We moved from Breckenridge, CO (where we still own a home) and I couldn't be happier, I love living in Monument.

The Space

Will update photos soon. Front porch off of the main bedroom. Walk into home, garage on the right, stairs up and stairs down on the left. Upstairs is the open kitchen, living room, and dining room. Off of the dining room is a wonderful back deck with furniture. The back yard is not finished, but there is a trampoline, large soccer net, fire pit, and some other fun things. There are no houses behind us, so it is private and gorgeous view of the mountain. Off of the kitchen is a small half bathroom for guests. Next to the 1/2 bath is the main bedroom with a private bathroom and large closet. The main room is basically two rooms, made into one large room. There is a large desk with ample work space. Downstairs is a room with a full bed, another room with a twin bunk, and the last room is separated into two rooms with thick curtains hung from the ceiling and a shelving unit, so they aren't officially two separate rooms yet. One side has a queen bed, the other a twin bed. There is a laundry room through these rooms. The bathroom downstairs has a shower with a tub.

Neighbourhood

The road out front has a speed limit of 25, but cars can be known to go faster. It is still a nice neighborhood, full of small town people. Walk two blocks east to the Santa Fe Trail- it is our daily walk and never gets old. There are a lot of mountain biking trails, hiking, paddle boarding and fishing at the lake, summer concerts in the park, and all the fun of a Colorado small town next to huge cities and 2 hours from world class skiing and mountains.

Walking distance to Old Town Monument. You will need a car to go anywhere else, either ride-share or your own vehicle. The food market is about a mile away.
