General Overview
Our property is in a central location in a quiet and safe neighborhood of Orlando. The schools are within walking distance and are A rated: Blankner K-8 and Boone High School. On hot summer days, the pool is a lifesaver.
We have a spacious front and backyard and one block away there is a spacious park with lots of shade and a playground.
The Space
There are a total of 3 bedrooms, one of which we use as a study. The master bedroom has a king-size bed. The other bedroom has bunkbeds.
We can set up a full-size bed upon request in the study in advance. It will fit snugly against the office desk in the corner.
Like many homes in this area, the former "Florida room" was converted into a room. We installed a mini-split A/C unit there and added barn doors and accordion doors if an additional 4th room is needed. This room has a sofa that doubles as a futon. This is where my husband practices the violin in the evening when the kids are sleeping.
Both bathrooms are only accessible via a room, meaning in order to use the bathroom, one has to go through the study or the master bedroom.
The only room with carpet is the master bedroom. The rest of the house has original wooden floors or tile.
Guest Access
Our home has one story. But there are steps leading into the entry way and there are two steps down into the Florida room so this home is not wheelchair accessible.
Notes
We do not wear shoes in the house.
We kindly ask that you watch our cat, Scratchy, while we are away during vacation.

Neighbourhood
Our neighborhood is located in the SoDo area, South of Downtown Orlando. Just a few steps away there is a nice park that our kids like to frequent, Wadeview Park, conveniently located with lots of shade and a playground.
Just around the corner, there is the Timucua Arts Foundation: A music venue that features live music and arts on more than 100 days every year. Truly a hidden gem in Orlando.
The fabulous Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, the most popular concert venue in Central Florida, is only 2 miles away in downtown Orlando.
And within walking (or biking) distance, we have two great ice cream parlors and lots of grocery stores to choose from. Publix, Target, and a Neighborhood Walmart are just down the street, along with a number of great restaurants and breakfast places.
Getting to my home
We are not far from I-4 and the 408 expressway, which makes getting around in Orlando and Central Florida easy.
Nearest airport
MCO (Orlando International Airport) is about 20 minutes away.
SFB (Orlando Sanford International Airport) is about 30 minutes away.
Getting Around
If you don't have a car, you can walk and bike to close-by restaurants, stores, and entertainment.
If you rent a car, which we would recommend, it can be parked safely on the street.

We are a family of 4 who are looking for short and long stays.
We are offering a single family home with pool in a nice, quiet neighborhood in sunny Orlando, Florida.
• Just 2 miles south of downtown, with a park just around the corner, and tennis/pickleball courts nearby.
• Restaurants and stores in walking distance.
• Disney World, Universal Studios, SeaWorld, and many other attractions are within a 20 minute drive.
• Cocoa Beach and the Kennedy Space Center are just an hour away (you can even see rocket launches from our front yard!).
• Wekiva Springs and Blue Springs State Park are close, too.
We have a master bedroom with master bath; a kid's bedroom with a bunkbed; and a study with guest bathroom where we can setup an additional (full size) bed.
We are open to hosting for smaller parties for weekends, and looking for short trips in North America or larger stays worldwide.
We are looking at homes in the NOVA area in Virginia and open to suggestions on best neighborhoods there.
Our dream is to allow our kids to study abroad for a few months in Germany so they can practice their German and experience a different culture.
We both work from home and enjoy birding, biking, and cooking. Scratchy, our lovely cat, will be here for short stays. But for longer stays, she will come with us.
