General Overview
This old (1946) house has open living space with three bedrooms and a loft space. It sits on one acre across the road from one of three lakes in the area. Five miles to Rocky Mountain National Park and near some of the best snowmobiling and ATV trails in the state. Two ski areas and hot springs are also nearby. Both ski areas accommodate mountain biking in the summer.
The house began life as a barn and grew into a fisherman's cabin and finally, after many facelifts, became a house and a home. But she still has the same strong bones. I have owned it since around 2005 and lived here full time since 2016.
The Space
Open living space with tv, workspace and galley kitchen in one area. Two bedrooms have full sized beds and one has a twin. The twin room has laundry in one of the two closets.
This is a dog friendly space. There is a covered sunroom/patio and a small fenced yard with dog door access. There is also a garage and depending on the exchange, you can probably use it to store your car and toys.
Guest Access
Getting here is very easy as it is the first house up a county road from hiway 34. The house sits up several steps. Two entrances each with approximately four steps up. Being in the mountains most of the outer ground is slightly hilly.
One of the bedrooms has outside access.
Notes
I live here with just my 15 year old fluffy dog. He may not be in the home, but his hair might be! Deep cleaning before visitors but dogs are dogs. You are welcome to bring your dogs along. I work for a vet and can keep you in touch while visiting.

Neighbourhood
Great view of Shadow Mountain Reservoir and lots of wildlife. The home is close to a highway, so you can hear traffic noises when it’s busy. I share a private road with one other home that can occasionally have visitors.
Shadow is perfect for kayaking. Moose tend to hang out there in summer. Lake Granby is much larger and great for both summer and winter fishing.

I can direct you to smaller/closer airports if you have the means.
Getting Around
You will need a vehicle. In winter, I suggest AWD or 4WD but not needed in summer unless you plan on doing some backroad traveling. All access is via highway. There is a small grocery store and gas station 5 miles away and large modern grocery and gas stations 15 miles away.
