we had a wonderful opportunity to stay in Camiac st Denis at the home of Luc and Cecile .
communication was excellent and Luc and Cecile were very accessible and flexible about our timing as we were unsure of the arrival day and time since it was a later leg of a long trip . They made it very easy for us to arrive and pinned their location into Google Maps which worked out so well .
they were so gracious in sharing tips as well as their beautiful swimming pool .
we experienced an unprecedented heat wave in France so their pool was truly a luxury to relish after journey days .
everything we might need was provided from towels to kitchen appliances along with games and sketchbooks
we found the bedroom on the first floor to be a bit moist so instead we used the trundle beds in the upstairs loft . We did find bug spray very helpful for the summer nights and recommend packing it should you wish to stay in summer . The home has a natural disposition to be cool as it's stone and built into a stone setting .
it was a great base for exploring not only the Bordeaux area , but also the Atlantic coast like arcachon and Biarritz , so it has the benefit of being near an incredible city , charming chateaus and vineyards but also the rocky and dramatic coast that extends into northern Spain .
this is a lovely family who will want you to get to know them and share rheir beautiful setting .

Thank you very much for your message, we are happy that the house, its environment and our region you liked. Sorry for the room, this is the first time this has happened. Indeed, it is preferable in periods of high heat (such as during your stay) that the house is ventilated in the morning and/or evening for good temperature regulation (which replaces any air conditioning device). This is a natural process for this house made of stone and rock. We will provide information on site in this regard, and for any insects, everything is available on site.
