General Overview

Our home is a light filled airy house comprising of 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. It is a modern house renovated off the back of an old horse stables and shearing shed. Our property is just under 8 acres of land and boarders a river with an abundance of wildlife, like Platypus, Echidnas, brown trout and kangaroo/wallaby. We have just installed a tennis court as the children are keenly playing. Carrick is located in the heart of all things wilderness, from bushwalking/hiking, to world famous mountain biking destinations like Derby and Maydena. We also have numerous world class beaches with the likes of 'The Bay of Fires' and 'Wineglass Bay' only 2 hours drive.

The Space

The house comprises of 5 bedrooms, 3 upstairs and 2 downstairs. The master bedroom has an ensuite and walk in robe. The main bathroom is on the ground floor and incorporates a full walk through double shower and bath. On the ground floor you will find an open plan living, dining and kitchen all taking in vistas of the mountains and rural outlook beyond. Also on the ground floor is a butlers pantry, laundry, movie/rumpus room and 2 bedrooms, with one bedroom hosting an sauna.

Guest Access

The house is located on estate like grounds and is well secured behind a large automated sliding gate.

The grounds include a full size tennis court and basketball hoop.

Getting Around

Carrick has a pub and service/convenient station and Launceston with a population of 100,000 has everything you would need. We are offering a car swap as well, so getting around is easy.

Nick

We are a family of 5, Husband, Wife (Jodie) and three Children, Matilda (14), Georgie (12) and Harriet (10). Our family is looking for home swap opportunities , so that we can have a decent break away from work and school. Ideally we are having a white Christmas in the Northern Hemisphere and are looking up to a 3 month swap. Tasmania is known for it's wilderness and locality to world famous Beaches, Mountain Bike Trails and World Class Wineries. Launceston the major city 15 minutes from Carrick is the lonely planets #4 Gastronomy City in the World.
