General Overview
To the south, Zuid-Limburg borders the foothills of the Ardennes (Belgium), High Fens (Belgium), and Eifel (Germany). This gives the region its character, which is not typical for the Netherlands at all; Zuid-Limburg’s wide and gently rolling hills are in strong contrast with the otherwise thoroughly flat Dutch landscape!
My house is 20 minutes driving distance away from the German border and 15 minutes away from the Belgium border.
The Space
Ground floor:
Parking space for two cars, living room, kitchen, hall with toilet
First floor: acces only with staircase.
3 bedrooms. Main bedroom with double bed. Children’s room with a singular high bed. Guest bedroom / office area with a sleeping couch and a foldable desk.
Bathroom with only a bathtub and a shower. (Need to acces the shower by climbing into the bathtub).
Second floor: attic with washing machine
I have no baby gates or anything for safety for small children

Neighbourhood
In the neighborhood you’ll find paths that lead up to nice hiking areas.
Supermarket and other stores are about 15 minutes walking distance. You can go around by public transportation. But if you love hiking, it’s easier to go by car. Or rent a bike to go to the train station and go from there.
City center is also about 20 minute hike.
Getting to my home
I would advice to rent a car or at least bikes. We have a good public transportation system but if you want to go hiking, you need to go to less traveled roads.
I live quite far from the touristic area of Amsterdam and The Hague. About 2,5 hours driving distance. But the area I live in has so many beautiful things on its own. The city of Maastricht is 25 minutes away, and so is Aachen (Germany).
Living in the beautiful south of the Netherlands: single mom (1978) with one child (2014)
Fluent in English, average in Spanish and German.
We love exploring all kinds of culture and nature.
I love salsa dancing and my son loves dogs and cats (although we don't have any). He also is really interested in history, old buildings, musea.
We are quite active, we like to explore a city by foot or bike. As well as a hike in nature. My son loves these active outings like an adventure park, a climbing park, hiking in caves, riding horses etc. And we both like to try local food.
We dont have a video introduction but I've made a small video of our trip to Puglia, Italy last year: https://youtube.com/shorts/i4G_VBqwLrc?feature=shared
