General Overview

We designed and built this house to our taste in 2013. We took very good care of the materials during the construction and therefore our house is very well isolated for the heat and for the cold temperatures. We have floor heating which in winter warms up the house and in summer it cools it down. Our house is made of ecological materials, and has aerothermal heating and cooling system and solar panels. Therefore our house has almost 0 electricity consumption. It is a very ample house with lots of big windows towards the national park of Sierra Nevada (you can see the mountains right from the windows) as well as the beautiful romantic city of Granada (we can see Alhambra palace from the windows as well). Our house has a gym and a outside swimming pool. You can fit two cars in the garage and there is never a problem to park our car outside as well. In the first floor there are: entrance hall, guest room, study/office room, bathroom, ample living room with double ceiling height, kitchen with dining area. In the second floor there are: two child bedrooms with own bathroom, parents suit with own bathroom, dressing room and bedroom. In the basement there are: area with washing machine, tumble dryer, gym equipment and big mat area for games. The garage can fit two cars, there is also a service area for bike repair and storage. Outside we have artificial grass, outside terrace, covered swimming pool which can be used all year long as it is covered and with heating system, another fully covered terrace which can also be opened. We are looking for very nice people to exchange our house with for 1 year (school year 2025/2026), who love sports, adventure, mountains but also culture and live city close by. We love our house and therefore we cannot accept neither pets or smokers inside the house. We also take off our shoes inside the house because of the wooden floors - to be more comfortable - habit that is not usual here in Spain.

Jitka

My name is Jitka and I am the mother of two sons (10 and 14 years old). We have a dream to come to Ireland (or some northern country) for one school year (starting August 2025 and end July 2026). We all wish to have this wonderful experience of living in a different country, knowing its beauty, enriching our lives with its culture, improving our communication skills, experiencing another school system and having a lot of fun!
