Neighbourhood

Just a short walk from our flat, on Broadway Market you'll find lots of artisanal shops and trendy cafes. It's the perfect place to have brunch on the weekend, when the market stalls selling everything from gourmet burgers to vegan curries line the street. Victoria Park, one of London's most beloved green spaces, is just a stone's throw away. We love coming here to escape the busy city and enjoy a peaceful stroll around the lake and our son is a big fan of the giant slide in the playground. The park also hosts various events and festivals throughout the year, including All Points East in the summer. Our flat is conveniently located next to the Regents Canal, offering a brilliant walking and cycling path to Angel, King’s Cross and Camden, passing colourful houseboats moored along the waterway. On the weekend, we also like to head to Columbia Road Flower Market, where you can buy the best flowers, plants, and gardening accessories. The charming street is lined with independent shops, galleries, and restaurants, making it a really fun place to spend a morning or afternoon. Hackney is known for its diverse and exciting dining scene. From trendy new restaurants to cozy pubs and international eateries, there's always a new place to try as well as old favourites we keep returning to. For kids we can recommend the nearby Hackney City Farm as well as the Young V&A Children’s Museum, which showcases a collection of toys and games from different eras and always has fun interactive exhibitions and activities on. For art lovers, our area is also home to various art galleries and cultural spaces, where you can explore contemporary art and creative exhibitions.
