General Overview

Mae Rim is a sub-district about 20 mins north of Chiang Mai's walled city centre, known for it's abundance of amazing cafes, restaurants and proximity to all the amazing outdoor activities Chiang Mai has to offer. One of the top 3 golf courses in Chiang Mai is within in 5 mins, and within a 15 min drive there is access to all the adrenalin junkie activites such as go-karting, bungee jumping, King Cobra Show, Rifle range etc.

The Space

We are fortunate to live in a spacious family house in a gated community, set right beside a small lake, which we enjoy year-round from a lovely shaded veranda. Our tropical dream! While there are elements of traditional styling in the house (timber flooring, timber windows), for the most part its modern and light. All 3 bedrooms occupy the first floor, while all living areas are on the ground floor. Living Room, Hallway and Kitchen-Dining are all large family spaces.

Guest Access

While all bedrooms are on the ground floor, there is a sofa bed on the ground floor that can be set up for any guests who have difficulty with stairs.

Notes

While Chiang Mai is a great year-round tourist destination, there are pretty established weather patterns, and it's worth researching what time of year suits your agenda best!

Neighbourhood

2 'Michelin Guide' local restaurants are within walking distance of our House, both offering Traditional Thai cuisine at amazing prices. For Western (any any international) Food, there is a fully stocked Rimping Supermarket, together with the usual fast-food suspects all within 5-10 mins drive also. There is also a small western-style coffee shop within the community, 5 mins walk from the house.

Getting to my home

Most international vistors will arrive via a connecting flight to CNX from BKK. Some direct overseas flights are available from within Asia, Singapore is one example.

Getting Around

'Grab', 'Maxim' and 'Bolt' are local taxi services available via app-booking. For simultaneous exchange, our 7-seater car can be made available. Private driver hire is easy to book also.

We are a family of 4- Canadian wife and British husband, we live in Chiang Mai Thailand! We have lived abroad for 15 years, spending 11 in Singapore. We have 2 children Danny (7) and Wren (5). We are hoping to offer our beautiful home in Mae Rim, Chiang Mai Thailand. Mae Rim has beautiful elephant sanctuaries, incredible cafes, markets, amazing restaurants, tours to go on into the mountains, waterfalls to name a few things. It is such an incredible place you could literally do something new everything single day. We love living here and have a gorgeous 3 bedroom home with access to a pool, pond (you can fish there id you'd like!), football nets, toys and a huge backyard. We are excited to open our home and all that Chiang mai has to offer to you and your family!
