- 12 minute walk (3 minute drive) north to a plaza with a large grocery store, liquor store, restaurants, ice cream shop, gym, pharmacy and other specialty shops (one of our favourite bakeries is here).
- In the summer, 10 minute walk to an outdoor public pool
- 5 minute drive to shopping mall
- 15 minute walk (3 minute drive) to a forested area with a series of trails to the east.
- 10 minute walk (3 minute drive) to a 3km hiking trail along a stream to the west
-Bronte Creek Provincial park day use area with several lovely trails, picnic areas and a large pool (15 minute drive)
For day trips, you may consider:
-shopping, museums, theatre or concerts in Toronto
-visits to the Niagara region wine country and Shaw Theatre Festival
-Stratford Theatre Festival
-St. Jacob's Market in Waterloo County
-any of several conservation areas such as Crawford Lake, Mount Nemo, Rattlesnake Point

Getting Around
We are a 12 minute walk (or 3 minute drive) from a major plaza north of us which includes a large grocery store, a store selling wine/beer/liquor, a great bakery, a coffee shop, restaurants, etc. We can share an electronic copy of the guide we created which delves more deeply into the topics including shopping & tourist sites and includes maps.
