General Overview

Nestled in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta, our home is in Canmore, just over an hour to Calgary. Canmore is just outside Banff National park, the heart of hiking, skiing and nature in the Canadian Rockies. The Duplex is 5 minutes from downtown Canmore or a 20 minute walk along the river on a paved trail. It is situated on a quiet residential street. Multiple bike and hiking trails throughout the town make walking or cycling easy alternatives to driving.

The Space

Our recently renovated 130 sq. meter back walkout Duplex sits above the Bow river in Canmore. The living room, dining room and kitchen share the back of the house overlooking the River. The main floor has the master bedroom with a king size bed and attached ensuite bathroom. The Laundry is on the main floor. Downstairs has 2 additional rooms with queen size beds and a large famly room with TV in addition to a second full bathroom for guests or children.

Guest Access

Guest access is onto the main floor with access through an attached garage or side entrance door. There are approximately 3 steps to get into the house. There is access on the main floor and from the basement to decks overlooking the back of the property. There is limited usable yard due to the slope of the property.

Notes

We will supply Bear Sprays and carry belts as most people carry them when walking or riding on local trails as a precaution (We have only seen a bear once and it left as soon as it saw us). We also have a broad selection of packs for use when hiking for day use or longer hikes if desired. Winter equipment includes snowshoes and poles.
