General overview
The house was built in the first half of the twentieth century, with star vaults, and has recently been renovated conservatively but equipped with every modern comfort. The garden, equipped with parasol, table, chairs, will give you the pleasant feeling of being able to eat outdoors .... in a little corner of paradise ... among rose plants and orange trees. In the garden there is an outdoor shower (cold / hot water).
Despite being particularly cool even in summer, the house is equipped with air conditioning, 4 beds, large kitchen with fireplace, two bathrooms. . The kitchen area is equipped with an electric oven and a dishwasher. In the garden there is also a laundry room with washing machine.
In winter the apartment is heated by radiators and a wood-burning fireplace.
This house is located on the ground floor, on the first floor is the other house.(Un nid douillet dans le Salento).You can ask if you need the two houses

The house is in a village which is 3 minutes from a great rocky sea: Castro which is with no doubt the best sea in Salento. Salento is a very charming place. There are many villages which beautiful houses and churches. Lecce is 30 minutes drive. It is a place to visit. It is famous for its baroque churches and architecture. You may have daily trip every single day and move from one sea (Adriatico) to the other (Ionio). To see pictures of spectacular places in the are you may simply google: Gallipoli, Castro, Otranto, Porto Cesareo, Lecce, Santa Caterina Galatina, Specchia, Zinzulusa, Maldive del salento
Getting around
The house overlooks the most beautiful stretch of coast from Otranto arrive at Santa Maria di Leuca, one of the most beautiful in Italy. Well aware of cyclists that cross many when the season is not too hot.
A 15 minute you along the paths that lead to creeping between the rocks coves where you can dive into the crystal clear that we see from home. A quarter of an hour's drive along the coastal road, you arrive at the port of Santa Maria di Leuca, the strip of land to the south of Italy, which separates the Adriatic Sea from the Ionian Sea. That is ideal for discovering the caves and jagged cliffs rich in inlets where do snorkling. For beach lovers going to meet the famous Gallipoli Salento Maldives with white sand, but also Marina di San Gregorio, Torre Vado, Pescoluse, Punta Swine up to Santa Maria al Bagno and the incredible nature reserve of Porto Selvaggio. Closer to home Marina di Novaglie, Navy Guardiola, the natural pools of Marina Serra, Tricase harbor and then Castro, Santa Cesarea Terme, the Maritime Marina, Porto Badisco, Torre dell 'Orso, etc. Otranto. etc.
And the thousand Baroque towns in the interior, rich in history, with squares, buildings, churches, castles to visit. Tricase, Specchia, Ruffano, Casarano, Maglie, Gallipoli to name a few and then Lecce, the heart of the Baroque Salento, one of the most beautiful cities in Italy. And in the summer every country has its own festival, a dance party (the famous stings), listening to music and eat a traditional specialty menu cooked by the ladies of the country. And if like us, you love good food you should know that that of Puglia is one of the best kitchens and most diverse of Italy. Here survives the tradition, the pasta is made exclusively by hand, the dishes are mostly based on vegetables and fish, meat is lamb or pork. The cuisine is rich in oil excellence cheeses and especially wines .. The restaurant setting in order their outdoor tables, in the picturesque village squares or terraces overlooking the sea.
