Neighbourhood
Across the road is a playground for small children and at the other side there is petting zoo.
From the house you can see the dike protecting the town from the river Rhine in the distance. This dike is very nice to walk along. Beyond there are the floodplains which are even nicer to walk in. You can swim in the Rhine in summer (do be cautious).
There is a variety of waling and cycling routes in the area which you can start from our house.

Getting Around
There is a very wide selection of shops for groceries and basic needs in town - all walking distance. The same is true for cafés and restaurants - all very nice but not 'award winning'. The town also boasts a very nice bookstore, library and two cinemas. If you are looking for upmarket clothes, furniture, design, michelin star cooking etc. you go to Arnhem, Nijmegen or Utrecht all within an hours drive.
