General overview

We live on beautiful Achill Island. Achill is the largest island off the coast of Ireland and connected by bridge to the mainland. It has five blue flag beaches, mountains, lakes, the highest sea cliffs in Europe and light that has drawn artists to this location for hundreds of years. There’s lots to do ..... or you can do nothing. It’s that kind of place. We live near the bridge in what could be called a village. The Sound has supermarkets, pharmacy, cafes, bars, restaurants.

The space

We have a cosy three bedroom house on a small development of ten properties. It’s heated by a solid fuel range and is incredibly peaceful. We’re easy driving distance to Westport (the gateway to the west) Galway and Ireland West airport.

Guest access

We have two floors.

Notes

We’re a family of three and have exchanged our home many times on a different platform. I’ve absolutely loved exchanging as a way to travel with my two daughters.

Getting around

In Ireland It is best to have a car - I would be interested in swapping. Public transport is an option but it’s rural quality.
