I live in the middle of the most popular residential area De Jordaan streets and squares with delicious restaurants, cafes. . Artistic cinemas and theaters. . Close to a very nice and hip park. . The Jordaan is a safe creative neighborhood.

Getting Around

Amsterdam is small and built in a semicircle (see map). Everything is easily accessible. Cars are not convenient. Parking is difficult and very expensive. You can walk everything, use public transport. Or of course, as we all do until old age: ON THE BIKE.

  • We had an amazing stay at Pim's wonderful home. It's located in a terrific location to enjoy beautiful Jordaan and other places within Amsterdam (also very close to Central Station so it's perfect as a base to visit the surroundings). The apartament is super comfortable and very well equiped, you won't miss anything during your stay. We were very lucky since we could meet Pim and share some laughs. She also provided us with very useful tips and recommendations. Communication with Pim was great since we exchanged our first message at the site. We definitely loved our exchange with Pim and we really look forward to meeting her again in the future. Thank you so much!

  • This exchange was a real privilege. A beautifully designed apartment in the heart of Amsterdam yet it’s also a peaceful and incredibly charming location. Everything you could want is at your doorstep from the beauty of the canals to shops and restaurants whether you want local cafes, bakeries, coffee and cheese, yummy Asian food or Spanish tapas. The apartment is very clean, beautifully designed and artfully decorated - the photos don’t do it justice. I encourage you to stay in this special home.

My name is Pim Burgers and I am 67 years old. My good friend and architect Jan Fraijman and I designed and developed the entire building together. In my professional career, I have worked as a colorist in the international paint industry. Now I enjoy all the freedom in painting, cooking and Pickleball (was 2 x Dutch Champion Women's Double 4.0). Last year I sold my historic houseboat and I finally moved into my new apartment 'ashore'. The 3rd floor can be reached by a nice lazy staircase and by elevator. The house is bright, spacious and equipped with every comfort. Jan lives on the 2nd floor. My sister and brother-in-law live on the 1st floor. This has made it more or less a wonderfully quiet and safe family home in the middle of the heart of Amsterdam. I have a summer house near Amsterdam and this allows me to easily exchange non-simultaneously. I would like to exchange in spring or autumn. In the past, I was a member of another home exchange. I have done more than 40 exchanges with my houseboat. These were all fine to great. I find exchanging with each other more personal and fun than saving globes.
