General Overview
A spacious and extremely comfortable two bedroom/two bathroom apartment in an amazing Chicago neighborhood with tons to do. Parks, beaches, restaurants, museums, Wrigley Field to see The Cubs, fireworks downtown - we're close to it all.
The Space
Nestled on a quiet tree-lined street, this brand new apartment is 3 houses from the Chicago River in an amazing neighborhood within the city of Chicago. Relax in the secluded primary suite with a massive zero-threshold shower or walk to the nearby grocery stores to cook a gourmet meal in the fully equipped kitchen.
Make yourself at home in this ~1600 sq ft family-friendly space that features individually controlled thermostats in each room plus heated floors, free in-unit laundry, massive closets, large windows, a sunny office with separate monitor for remote work, and a large TV with streaming services included.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you'll need to cook up your meals, and includes whole bean coffee, a grinder, and two types of coffee makers. We provide a composting service and many eco-friendly products throughout the apartment.
When you enter the apartment, you'll be in a large entryway with original features of the 100+ year old building; every other part of the space was built in 2022 with an eye for comfortable luxury and livability.
Upon request, we can provide a crib/toddler bed, baby gate, and outlet covers. A selection of kid's books, small toys, and games/puzzles for adults are always available. There are three stairs to enter the apartment and a queen size fold-out bed in the living room sofa.
Parties, events, and smoking are strictly prohibited.
Guest Access
You will have the entire apartment to yourself during your stay except for two locked storage closets.
You will have your own access code for the front door keypad lock, which has a separate front door from the other unit.
Notes
This unit is located on the lower level of our three-story home; we keep it as a separate space for out of town guests and Airbnb (where we have a rating of 4.98/5 stars - this is an incredible place, really!). We live upstairs with our young child and enjoy welcoming guests of all backgrounds to our incredible neighborhood.
We would love to discuss PLU-ers staying for a globe, or a non-simultaneous exchange.

Neighbourhood
Lincoln Square will quickly become your favorite Chicago neighborhood! We are on the north side of the city in a safe, extremely family-friendly area with fantastic restaurants, cafes, and shopping. We love to brag about our neighborhood and are happy to answer questions about the area or provide suggestions for every occasion.
No car is needed - the apartment is within short walking distance to three grocery stores, tons of restaurants, multiple parks/playgrounds, and the Rockwell stop of the CTA Brown Line (subway train) to get anywhere in the city.
Spring in Chicago is beautiful, and our neighborhood is close to everything you could want - beaches, downtown fireworks, world-class restaurants, parks and playgrounds, the list goes on and on.
Nearest airport
O'Hare International Airport is about 15 minutes away by car, and Midway International Airport is about 40 minutes away by car. Chicago traffic can get intense, so at certain times of day it will take longer.
You can get to both airports easily on public transit (bus/train), or take an Uber/Lyft/rideshare.
Getting Around
We rarely drive and recommend walking or using public transit while you're here. Chicago has a great public transit system with buses and trains, both of which are easily accessible from our place. Lyft/Uber are good options as well, with tons of drivers and short wait times even during off-peak times.
If you do drive, street parking in front of the building and on surrounding streets is free; note that the spaces immediately out front tend to fill up in the evening and you may need to park down the block if you return home late.
