This is my sisters primary home that we are open to do a sim swap with.
It is a very modern flat with good access to both metro or by walking to many popular places and also just 300m from the beach.
It has all the necessities you need to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
-central heating/AC
-Elevators
-balcony on the sun side with beach/ocean view
-washing machine and dish washer
The Space
I live with my cute little cat Zilver and with the right swap he will need to be taken care of and I can care for your little cat too. He can sometimes be with my friends as well.
The apartment is 40m2 with high ceilings, open kitchen/living room and 1 spacious bedroom.
In the bedroom there is a 160cm bed and a direct door to the bathroom.
In the kitchen there is all the essentials that you need and also a air fryer.
In the living room there is a comfy 140cm double sofa bed from Ikea with extra mattress topper that takes 3 seconds to make into a bed.
There is one balcony in the entrance and one with direct access from the living room. The living room balcony has sun all day and has a lovely view towards the beach/ocean. I usually enjoy a nice breakfast in the sun there every morning. :)
The apartment is bright and you can also open up the doors of the balcony. Since it is top floor it gets a nice breeze when leaving balcony and doors open.

Neighbourhood
Barceloneta neighborhood is a great location in the old city center with 5 min walk from beach and 10 min walk to the metro and the area Born. In the area you find everything you need like restaurants, supermarket, pharmacy and bars surrounding 2 plazas.
There are almost no traffic as only locals can park there. So you feel like you are in a small Spanish village in a big city.
The area is safe but these days caution should be taken in Barcelona for pickpocketing especially on the metro, at the beach and in Raval and La Rambla, also if you go to the clubs.
The beach and beach promenade is very busy in summer but I'm happy to give you recommendations on where to go where you escape the worst. A lot of tourists by the beach but inside the neighborhood you can't tell so much it is always a nice feeling in there.
Everything in Barceloneta closes at 23.00 so it is quiet at night. 10 minutes walk and you are in Born or Gotico where there are lots of cute bars and restaurants and small sweaty reaggeton dance bars.
Getting to my home
Easiest is a taxi, uber, Bolt or Cabify from the airport (around 25 minutes and 30 eur) or to take the blue Airport bus outside terminal that goes every 10 minutes 24/7 for 8 eur to Plaza España (around 30 minutes) and from there it is 2 stops on the metro or 10 minutes by taxi (around 10 eur).
It is hard to find good carparks in Barcelona for foreign cars as they are often broken into so the best would be to look on google and check reviews. There is no carpark in the Barceloneta neighborhood.
It is easy to rent a car as needed on apps like Getaround or Amovens. (Like airbnb but for cars - so you rent a car from a local including insurance and can pick it up wherever it is parked in the city), from 40 eur per day.
Nearest airport
El prat Barcelona airport. 25 minutes drive or around 60 minutes to my home by public transport
Getting Around
You can walk to most places. In the neighborhood you find everything you need; restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacy and bars.
The metro is 8 minutes walk, the area Born is 10 minutes walk and Plaza Catalunya 25 minutes walk or 2 stops on the metro.
There are also bus stop 1 minute walk from the flat.
It is super easy to rent bikes to get around town as well, normally 20 minutes from one side of town to the other. Cost from 10 eur per day.
Easy to take train or rent a car for daytrips to Costa Brava, vineyards, Tarragona area or hiking.
