General Overview
Relax and enjoy the city of sails, in this charming three-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom house in Northcote Point, Auckland, New Zealand. It is an older heritage area of Auckland with a harbour beach and native bush walks at your doorstep, the city is close by just over the harbour bridge. It is a great location and home to live in.
Our detached home is set off the street down a driveway and offers a private, tranquil and relaxing environment. It is a two-story home with an open plan layout downstairs which seamlessly combines the spacious modern kitchen, living, and dining area, all of which open up to a sunny private deck and lawn.
With three bedrooms upstairs, this house can comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests. The master bedroom features an ensuite bathroom. Additionally, there is a main bathroom and a separate ground-floor WC.
The house is fully furnished with linen, towels, lawn mowing and unlimited WIFI. It is heated by two heat pumps downstairs, underfloor heating in the bathrooms and portable heaters in all the bedrooms. Parking is available on the property and the house is alarmed, fully fenced and secure.
It is brilliantly located for public transport with the area being serviced by a ferry to the city, or numerous buses on a major bus route a short 10-minute walk away.
Just down the road, 5-10 minutes, are a couple of excellent cafes, restaurants, and local amenities, including the popular Stafford Road wine bar and Bridgeway Art House Cinema. Little Shoal Bay Harbour Beach, Le Roys Bush, and local playgrounds are also nearby, perfect for young, old or in-between.
We are heading to the UK/Europe for 3+ months, so please get in touch if you have any questions.

We are both Brits and lived in London for 20 years and loved it. We now live in NZ to be close to Joanne's family and enjoy the many recreational opportunities on offer. However, we do miss the old country and visit the UK every year to reconnect with family and friends and go sailing in Greece. We are keen sailors who view their home as a safe harbour rather than a style icon.
We travel during July-November and are open to non-simultaneous reciprocal exchanges particularly in the UK, but are open to other European offers. By that, we mean NZ November - April for UK/EU June - October. Globe exchanges are also okay. Please reach out to discuss.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
