Neighbourhood

Our semi-rural neighborhood is quiet and provides ample privacy. There are no streetlights at night. You can see all sorts of birds and wildlife, including owls, woodpeckers, deer, and rabbits. Our yard has old-growth gum, oak, maple, and pine trees.

Getting around

You will require a car to get around in Chapel Hill and the surrounding areas, because public transportation is limited.

Aleksandra

Hello! I'm interesting in exploring home swap options for my family of four, including my husband, 8-year-old son, and 5-year-old daughter. My husband and I have not traveled much since having children. Previously, I traveled to Turkey, Ukraine, Germany, Italy, England, Austria, Kenya and Tanzania, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Canada. I've also traveled extensively in the U.S. My husband lived in Belgium and Spain when he was younger. We both have lots of experience living in shared spaces with roommates in cooperative or semi-cooperative homes. As our children grow older and our budget increases, we hope to be able to take them on trips overseas to see how people live in other parts of the world. For now, we are interested in home swaps within the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States.
