The island is surrounded by lush, bushland, offering an abundance of walking trails that weave through the greenery and down to secluded beaches. These serene spots are ideal for swimming, kayaking, or simply relaxing in nature. While there are very few vehicles on Scotland Island or the nearby bays, you can easily explore its beauty on foot or by using a small boat or water taxi, adding to the island’s charm and peaceful ambiance. The Space

This studio apartment can sleep up to two adults and two kids and is available all year round. It has its own bathroom a few metres away, with access to a laundry, spa, and deck with a BBQ and large cover. You can either interact with us and enjoy local hospitality, or enjoy some peace and quiet by yourselves and not be bothered - we are easy! NOTE: We have a couple of beehives on the property, and guests are welcome to learn about beekeeping firsthand, or simply enjoy tasting our delicious raw island honey. The main house is available as a swap or while we are away. See our other listing for details.

Guest Access

The nearest wharf to our home is called Carols Wharf. There is a community vehicle available for bookings. It’s a convenient way to get from the wharf to your destination or to transport luggage, as some of the paths on the islands may be too challenging for those with limited mobility.

Notes

You need to be able to walk up a fairly steep hill for about 300m! If you have health issues that make walking difficult, this probably isn’t the location for you, sorry. Having said that, we have an electric 4WD ATV so can often help out with luggage and shopping - happy to take you if we are not using it.

Some local bike hire shops allow you to rent bikes and explore at your own pace, particularly in places like Palm Beach and Avalon. Be sure to check out the local bike paths and scenic routes along the coastline. Community Vehicle: On Scotland Island, there is a community vehicle available for bookings. It’s a convenient way to get from the wharf to your destination or to transport luggage, as some of the paths on the islands may be too challenging for those with limited mobility.
