General Overview

Our family flat has three bedrooms, one of them with a queen size bed, another with a high double bed and the other with a single high bed. We have a two bathrooms and a kitchen that is also our dining room. The appartment has a front living room with playing area and book shelves. We love reading so we have several kinds of books, childrens' books, travel guides, etc. We also have a collection of childrens' movies. The house has 7 balconies, 5 facing the main street and 2 facing the inner area of the buildings, which we use for cloth hanging and sunbathing with a book or a cup of tea. It is so sunny that we have several kinds of plants and flowers in the balconies. The flat is about 120 square meters but we whave all our working stuff (books, files, etc.) in one studio within the bottom of the appartment. The flat is situated a 15 minutes walk from the Sagrada Família and from the old city of Barcelona (Plaça Catalunya, Passeig de Gràcia, les Rambles, Catedral, Santa Maria del Mar...). We live in a neighbourhood that has all the services you may need and public transportation to everywhere. Our flat is not huge but it is comfortable and organised to accomodate a couple with kids or 4 adults. It is in the 5th floor -with elevator- of a 1900 building and has a bohemian flair (high ceilings, big windows, antique tiles...). We live with a young cat who will probably not be there during your stay. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

We are a couple of anthropologists with two daugthers, 14 and 9 years old (our travelling party is 4). We are all experienced travelers and love the values and learnings of staying abroad in contexts different than ours. We'd like to transmit these to our children and enjoy the experience of living as the locals anywhere we go. We own a flat in the center of Barcelona close to all facilities and sites of interest, which is prepared for kids and small groups of adults.
