General Overview
Central Auckland home away from home with Auckland’s waterfront and local beaches at the end of the street.
Great base to experience all the sites on offer within a couple of hours of our home.
Comfy couches and large tv for relaxing after a busy day exploring.
As we have a second home, we can make our home available for a non-sim or globe exchange most times of the year.
The Space
Open plan with 2 living spaces, kitchen, dining and home office on the ground floor and 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and exercise space upstairs.
Guest Access
Our home is set over 2 floors and there are stairs to access the second level.
Because of this, access will be tricky for anyone with mobility issues.

We are happy to discuss potentially leaving a car for you to use during your stay.

Neighbourhood
The Auckland waterfront is at the end of our street which makes for great walks, biking into the city and beach days. St Heliers village is also walking distance and has a lovely selection of local shops, cafes and restaurants.
Easy to access buses into the city.
3 supermarkets within a 5 minute drive.
Getting to my home
Our home is a 30 minute drive from Auckland airport. I would suggest taking an Uber or taxi. There is also a bus into Auckland City and then you could take a 20 minute bus ride to our home.
Nearest airport
Auckland’s domestic and international airports.
Getting Around
Auckland city and the ferry terminal are 15-20 minutes by bus, along Auckland’s picturesque waterfront. Our home is a great central base for day trips by ferry to the very popular Waiheke Island or popping over to the quaint seaside suburb of Devonport. Rangitoto Island in the middle of the Auckland harbour is a great hiking destination accessible by ferry, as is the Waitākere Ranges, a 40 minute drive away.
If surfing is more your thing you will love the beaches out west, including popular Piha Beach.
Matakana, an hour north of Auckland is a nice day trip. Check out the Saturday food and farmers market and then stop in at Brick Bay winery for lunch in a stunning setting followed by the sculpture walk.
We are 2 hours drive from the Coromandel, home to world famous Cathedral Cove, Hot Water Beach and many other beautiful white sand beaches and beach towns.

We are in our 50's, live in Auckland New Zealand and love good food, great architecture and exploring new places while living like locals. We are non-smokers and very respectful, having travelled for years using Airbnb and appreciating how important it is to be great guests.
We are lucky to live in a beautiful city with beaches down the road and loads to explore on our doorstep. When not home or travelling you will find us on the Coromandel Peninsula at our second home, a typical kiwi ‘bach’, relaxing at the beach or playing golf. Having this means we can be very flexible on exchange dates and non simultaneous swaps.
We are open to swapping anywhere really, international or local and would love to hear from you!
London and Europe are favourite destinations for us so please reach out if New Zealand is on your bucket list!
Thank you for considering us in your travel plans!
