Neighbourhood
200 mtrs. from the most westerly pub in Ireland, which provides food and entertainment. 150mtrs from bus stop with regular service to Dingle town. 4 magnificent beaches within 10 - 15 minute drive. Several cafés in the near area (within a few minutes' driving distance). Ferry to Great Blasket Island 5 minute drive away. Blasket Centre also 5 minutes drive away. 8 minutes' drive to Ballyferriter with pubs, a shop and a golf course. 20 minute drive to Dingle town with many shops, pottery-making, pubs, cafés, restaurants, an aquarium, an interactive sea experience, distilleries offering tours, falconry - and is one of the most well-known tourist locations in Ireland. Dingle is one of the festival capitals of Ireland, with a festival happening at least every month. Dingle is extremely rich in culture and history, with talks, walks, music, historical sites and museums to visit, along with lots of outdoor activities - horse-riding, surfing, sea safaris, boat tours, kayaking, kite-surfing, etc. Lots of mountain hikes to do in the area, and historical expeditions. The Slea Head, upon which we are situated, is one of the most iconic drives in Ireland, famous for its spectacular views. Within an hours' drive are several small pretty towns, a brilliant farm and petting zoo with a restaurant, a forest park, beautiful walks and beaches, and Tralee, a major town.
Getting to my home
Air - Kerry airport is the closest; 70 minutes' drive away.
Road - depends on direction coming from. From Dublin, 4.5 hours on M7. More directions supplied if requested.
Train - Farranfore station is the closest. 70 minutes' drive away.
Public transport the entire way is possible but depending where you're coming from could take quite a while, e.g. from Dublin it could take 9 hours.
Closest shop is in Ventry; 7 minutes' drive away, or in summertime one in Ballyferriter (small town 8 minutes away with pubs and a hotel). Bus stop at bottom of road. Other than bus, people regularly thumb lifts, but driving would be the main mode of transport.

Mam, Dad and a three-year-old boy. Plus dog Boomer. New to this. Would love to go to Cornwall, Pembrokeshire, Wales in general - but open to any option really.
