Fantastic people and guests. Loved having them stay and they really looked after the Studio. Tania and Rhys invited me to dine with them and we shared our travel adventures and experiences. Loved it and would readily welcome them back x
Tania and Rhys were very friendly, fabulous guests. After staying at their place in Alexandra we finally got to meet them over a pre-dinner drink in Devonport. They left our place so clean and tidy. We would be very happy to welcome them back anytime.
Tania and Rhys are independent and very pleasant hosts, as they find solutions on their own. They left my house spotless, and I really appreciated our communication.
I'm looking forward to staying with them in one of the most beautiful places in New Zealand!
Tania and Rhys were lovely guests. Communication was great, they left our home in a spotless condition and we would be more than happy to host them again.
We are really looking forward to our trip to beautiful New Zealand to stay with Tania and Rhys in the near future.
😀
Tania and Rhys were respectful guests who left my apartment looking so clean and tidy it was like they hadn't even been there during their weekend stay! We only met briefly as we both had busy weekends but I look forward to perhaps meeting again when I visit Alexandra. Thank you for being no-fuss guests!
Jennifer, Timoci and Amber joined us for Christmas and New Year’s on a part hospitality, part globe stay. We had a great time getting to know them and they took good care of our home and garden. Tim did a fantastic job, detailing the car and even cleaned the garage. We would be happy to have them back any time and hope one day to visit them in Oz.
We had a lovely stay in Karen’s casita. Karen was a great host with lots of good tips for things to do. Pick and drop off for ferry was a nice bonus. Waiheke Island is a must do. Beautiful walks and wineries. The casita is a nice 10 min walk through the park into the village. We shared dinner one night up on Karen’s deck and enjoyed her beautiful garden.
Tania and Rhys were fun people and great guests. They were open to trying out lots of experiences on the Island. They also loved sharing their travels and I thoroughly enjoyed their chefing skills! Thank you for sharing a meal with me! They left the Studio in a great condition. I thoroughly recommend Tania and Rhys as guests.
We had a wonderful stay at Carolyn and Allan’s.
The guest house is a great space and it is beautifully finished. Devonport is a lovely little village area with its own beach and has many places to walk and get amazing views of the city. We took the opportunity to have a hit of tennis on the court outside the guest house -a great added benefit.
The house is right near a bus stop and the buses run frequently and take you right into the village and to the ferry terminal.
We got the chance to share a drink and exchange stories in the village with our lovely hosts, Carolyn and Allan, at one of the many good restaurant bars located in Devonport.
Would definitely recommend visiting and would happily return.
Fanny’s home is full of quirky character. It is in a great location up on the hill but only 15 minute walk into the markets. The pool was a great way to cool down in the afternoon. Definitely recommend hiring a car for a stay. We really enjoyed early mornings and afternoons lazing on the deck after a day exploring.
Larissa was our second PLU guest. We have a few tasks we request of our guests and Larissa kept us informed during her stay which helped us enjoy our own PLU exchange knowing our home and plants were being cared for.
Carolyn and Allan were our first PLU guests. We were away on another PLU exchange and their communication kept us informed. We look forward to catching up face to face and getting their feedback during our stay with them.
Ken and Jess took great care of our campervan. They unfortunately picked a period of wild weather and mindfully changed plans as they went to keep themselves and our campervan out of the worst weather. Lovely couple. We would recommend them for future exchanges.
Thank you. What a great location for our Melbourne visit. So handy for the airport bus, trains and trams. So many eating out and shopping options close by. Perfect apartment for a couple.
We had a lovely 2 night stay in Nicki’s unit. It was a perfect location for us to attend a luncheon event nearby and only a short drive into Timaru. The unit was very cozy and has everything you could need.
Nicki greeted us on arrival and went above and beyond to buy an additional heater when the heat pump failed on her before our arrival.
There were welcome treats and a very comprehensive visitors guide book. We have just started putting ours together so it was a great example for us on what to include.
We look forward to hosting Nicki later this year.

Early retiree couple who enjoy meeting new people and spending time exploring the world. We have just finished building our new home in Central Otago, New Zealand, which frees up our 6 berth camper for exchanges too and we are excited to explore the possibilities that PLU offers.
Rhys wears many community hats. He is on the Board of Rotary District 9999 and is an active member of the Alexandra Rotary club. We both volunteer in the community as a Big Buddy, and at the local Cinema and at various community events.
