General Overview

We are a 2+2 family (one year old and a 4 year old😊). We will swap in a similar configuration with a couple or a family with small children :) We live in Voss 🇧🇻 in the mountains, in the beautiful western part of this country. Currently you can still enjoy the snow.. During the holiday season there is also 🏔️ Several ski resorts ⛷️🏂 ❄️Places to go sledding, try dog ​​sledding, ice skating on a frozen lake. 🔥 Campfires at the lake and other places are allowed during this period 🚂Scenic train journeys on the famous Flåmsbana, one of the steepest railways in the world 🏞️The best viewpoints where you can admire some of the most beautiful fjords 🛶Gundvangen is a famous Viking village located on a beautiful fjord included on the UNESCO list. We wanted to create account on people like us and try to travel with that for the future. We are after many Exchange base on the trust mainly and we are very satusfy and happy afterwards. The Space

🏡We offer an apartment of approximately 70 m2. Perfect for a couple or a family with small children. We are located 15 min from train and bus station and 5 min to nearest shop.

Entrance side is on ground floor with easy access into the apartment but on the balcony side it's the 3rd floor up.

Neighbourhood

In the area there are many opportunities to spend time actively to admire breathtaking views, peace and quiet, contact with nature everywere you go🏞️😊 An endless number of charming places and landscapes that can be admired in the area in the distance of -/+ h drive: Flåm, Eidfjord, Gundvangen, Undrdal, Ulvik, Gundvangen (UNESCO)

Getting to my home

Fly into Bergen and take the Bybanen (Bergen Light Rail) followed by a train to Voss. The time via this option takes two and a half hours or you could hire a car and drive that takes around one and a half hours. There are some bus options from Voss station to near our appointment but best to walk will take approximately 20 mins. There is a car hire in Voss also if you did not want to drive from thee airport.

Getting Around

The shops are a short distance walk and to the main train station and bus stop in Voss is only a 20 minute walk. There are a number of buses also but to get to more remote places times can be limited when the bus runs. We would recommend to hire a car here as gives more freedom and flexibility. There might be a possibility with a car swap also this can be discussed if available and how that would work here.

We have done a few exchanges though other groups and our apartment is in central Voss in westlands. It has good access to famous nutshell and the Flåmsbana or taking a trip to Bergen. You are also not far to explore the fjords both hardanger fjords and Sognefjord with a short trip to be outdoors and the Norwegian life style. We also recommend trips to Ulvik, Eidfjord, Vik and Flåm.
