General Overview
What makes our home special is its amazing location and unique charm. Our apartment is situated right next to Charlottenburg Palace in the heart of Berlin, giving you the perfect mix of city life and tranquility. You can easily reach bustling parts of the city thanks to excellent transport connections, but also enjoy peaceful walks in the beautiful palace gardens just steps away. The area we live in is calm and quiet, yet so well-connected to everything Berlin has to offer.
What I love most about our home are the bright, spacious rooms with their high ceilings that give the apartment a classic charm—it’s a beautiful old building with plenty of character. The generous size of the apartment allows for easy movement and a sense of freedom, and I especially adore my cozy sofa, which is the perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring Berlin.
The Space
Our apartment is a bright, spacious, and lovingly decorated home in a classic Berlin Altbau (pre-war building) with beautiful wooden floors, high ceilings, and lots of natural light.
The living room features a large, stylish velvet sofa and colorful artwork, making it the perfect space to relax after a day in the city.
The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and has a cozy breakfast corner by the window where the morning sun shines in beautifully.
We have a master bedroom with a comfortable double bed and blackout curtains for a restful sleep.
There is also a charming children’s room, ideal for a baby or toddler, complete with a crib, changing table, and lots of toys, books, and baby essentials. Families with young children will feel right at home.
Our bathroom includes a bathtub with a rain shower, a window for natural light, and all the basics you need.
The hallway is long and elegant, with warm lighting and a large mirror that adds character to the space.
One of our favorite spots is the balcony, which gets afternoon sun — perfect for coffee, reading, or a glass of wine in the evening.
This home is ideal for couples or families with a small child. It combines the historic charm of Berlin architecture with modern comfort and a warm, peaceful atmosphere.
Guest Access
We live in a traditional Berlin-style building (Altbau) on the 4th floor, and there is no elevator. Please note that access requires climbing stairs.
The staircase is wide and well-lit, but may not be suitable for people with limited mobility.

I’m Julia, living with my husband and our baby daughter, who is under a year old, in the heart of Berlin, right next to Charlottenburg Palace. I’d be so excited to do a home swap with someone! We’re very flexible, as my husband works remotely, so we’re open to different requests and dates.
