General Overview

The #1 benefit of our Maui condo  is location, location, location! We are across the street from one of the best beaches in Kihei - Kamaole Beach II. We are also walking distance from several gift shops, clothing stores, an ice cream parlor, a convenience store, and many great restaurants. We are also only 1 mile from Wailea, where you will find the very large shopping mall, The Shops at Wailea.

The Space

The bedroom has a comfortable king size bed. In the living room the couch pulls out to a comfortable queens size bed. The unit is 655 square feet plus lanai with ocean view. Elevator is near by. It is on the 3rd floor.

This is a rental when it is not doing an exchange. We are usually booked solid in the winter. This is how it has made it through for over twenty years. Summer dates are much more open.

Getting to my home

It's best to rent a car during your stay. You would have assigned off street parking spot. We recommend a Kihei rental company we always use (more inexpensive than the airport based companies). 

Kīhei Rent-A-Car will pick you up with a shuttle after your plane lands.

Wonderful, cute little apartment right in the heart of Kīhei. Kevin & Gayle were lovely hosts and we had everything we needed. Super easy to check in, and there’s boogie boards, beach chairs, a large umbrella and a cooler to bring to the beach. Restaurants are just a short walk and the beach is literally a block away. This is a more commercial area of Maui with a lot of apartments and beautiful beaches around, as well as a market with food trucks. Lovely PLU stay!

I had a wonderful 11-day stay at Kevin's condo in Maui. The location couldn’t have been better — right across the street from the beach, which made my daily swims and sunsets so easy and enjoyable. The condo itself was perfect: clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything I needed for a smooth stay. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches around the home that made it feel welcoming and easy to settle into, like the beach chairs and umbrella! Communication was clear and friendly throughout, and I felt very well taken care of. We fell in love with Maui 24 years ago when we stayed at the Kihei Akahi while working and enjoying the Maui Writers Conference. Kevin is the aspiring writer in the family. We purchased a condo here at the Kihei Akahi back in 2002. Even though we have been through some trying times while raising our two kids to college-age and weathering the downslide of the economy, we have managed to hold onto our little piece of aloha. Maui has become a true love for us and our children. We have created so many wonderful memories here in this condo. They say Maui calls you back when you leave, and there is no doubt of that in our minds. When we step off the plane each time here we feel we are coming home.   *** We have Globes if Maui is too far for you.
