General Overview

We live in a four-bedroom house in Rognan in Northern Norway, about a one hour drive south of Bodø. Our home is surrounded by beautiful nature and offers breathtaking views over the fjord and mountains. There are multiple hiking trails from the house down to the fjord or into the mountains and in winter time you can see the northern lights right from our balcony.

The Space

Our home has four bedrooms and an open living area on the second floor. We are currently in the process of renovating the entire house including the bathroom and kitchen so we will be updating our profile as we do so.

Guest Access

Neighbourhood

We live in an area called Halsmoen which is a five minute drive from the town of Rognan. Halsmoen offers beautiful views of the fjord, valley and mountains and there are many different hiking trails from the house as well as in the surrounding areas. Rognan is about a one hour drive south of Bodø, the closest city with an airport, we are also one hours drive north of the arctic circle. The area is close to both Lofoten and the Helgeland coast of Norway and the Svartisen glacier. There are an array of outdoor activities you can do in both winter and summer :)

Getting to my home

The easiest way is to fly to Bodø airport and drive. There is also a train station in Rognan that links to Bodø and Trondheim.

Bodø airport is just over an hours drive away.

Getting Around

A car is needed to stay here. Food shops, restaurants and local shopping can be found in Rognan town, a 5 mintue drive away.

Hannah

Hi, our names are Hannah and Adrian. We are both in our early thirties and living in Rognan in Northern Norway. Hannah is originally from the UK and Adrian is from Rognan. We also have a cat, Finn, who is 10 years old and we have had him since he was a kitten. We both work full time, Hannah in the international development sector and Adrian in the construction field. We both enjoy the outdoors, going for hikes and rock climbing and also love to travel.
