General Overview
Our comfortable home is located right by the sea, only 10km (15 min drive) from the city center of Bergen. The airport is only a few kilometers away, and public transport is available.
We have verandas/patio around the house on all sides to catch the comfortable Bergen summer sun. The garden and nearby forest is perfect for play. We have a private dock, secluded beach and boats for rental. With space for 4-5 cars in the drive way, this is a perfect holiday house for a group or big family travelling together.
The Space
The front entrance is at ground level, where you can find a large hall leading to kitchen and living room, a toilet and the upstairs sleeping wing.
The kitchen is spacious and contains everything you need for cooking. There is access to a large veranda with barbeque from the kitchen. Dining space for 5 people and children's chairs are also available in the kitchen. The dining room seats up to 12 people. Living room contains a fireplace and smart TV.
There are two bedrooms, laundry room and a bathroom with jacuzzi and sauna upstairs. King size bed in the smaller bedroom. The kids room sleeps 2 young children and 2 adults on a pullout. The room is large and includes a play area and TV.
Downstairs you find a hall with play area, a large bathroom with bathtub and shower, and two bedrooms/office. The guest room has a Queen size bed + single bed. The office has a double pullout sofa, large TV set, desk and access to west facing veranda with sun beds. The downstairs laundry room is used for drying clothes and has an additional freezer and entrance to the garden.
Using all available beds and pullouts the house can sleep 9 adults and 2 small children without being crowded. The verandas and garden is private and has a beautiful view of the sea.
Guest Access
2 floors, not wheelchair friendly. Main entrance is at ground level but with 3 steps up to the door. Parking right outside the main entrance.
Notes
In summertime, the sun is up from 5 am to 10 pm and you can catch it around the house all day. Verandas and patios are furnished for

Neighbourhood
From the back yard there is path leading to the sea through a small forest. Approximately 150m to a secluded rock beach and boat house where we have a double kayak, pram, SUP and fishing gear.
The private dock is 200m from the house and furnished for lounging with a pergola. you can swim and fish from the dock.
Getting to my home
Driving is the easiest way to get to the address. The road standard at Grimstad is Norwegian countryside but not problematic. There is parking for up to 5 cars outside.
The local bus (nr 52) connects to the light rail from airport or to city center.

Getting Around
4 local grocery stores at Søreide (2km away) contains all necessities. Lagunen shopping mall (8km) is the largest mall in western Norway and has a direct bus connection.
