A little backstory:
I bought the house in July 2023 and it was completely stripped. With the help of my contractor, I renovated it into this beautiful place that I am now so proud to call my home. My contractor installed the kitchen and bathroom with his team. The rest I did myself, with the help of my family and friends. It has been an exhausting but fulfilling journey and I am so happy with how it turned out! I really put all my energy, love and attention into designing and creating this home. I am also so happy for the opportunity to share it with others through this platform and feel such joy when people enjoy my home as much as I do. Looking forward to more amazing exchanges!
About the home:
My recently renovated home is cozy (60m2) and very light, a true beige oasis. It is situated on the ground level and has a nice, quiet garden facing the north, which allows for some afternoon sun.
It has one main bedroom and one guest bedroom, both facing the garden. The guest bedroom has a dedicated at-home yoga/pilates space, and it has an ergonomic home office with sit/stand desk with an ergonomic chair. Both beds have very comfortable mattresses, and because they are next to the garden, you don't hear any traffic from the street so it's very quiet. The guest bedroom also has a large closet with space to hang clothes, as well as drawers, so enough room to unpack and make yourself at home.
The kitchen is equipped with all new appliances, a large fridge, spacious freezer, microwave oven, dishwasher, induction stovetop, Nespresso machine, milk foamer, Nutribullet, and it has a built-in Quooker (which is a tap with instant boiled water coming out of it, so no need for a kettle).
The bathroom is compact but carefully designed. It has a very nice rain shower, the sink is made from a river rock and the anti-fog mirror has a built-in light.
The living room has a large sofa, a very large TV with chrome-cast and a good sound system. Here you also find the dining table, which can be extended. Even though the sofa is light colored, it is very well impregnated against stains luckily! There's also a cabinet with glassware.
In the hall, there's a little cabinet with some extra appliances such as an airfryer and a food processor. Also, in the meter cabinet there's a drying rack for clothes, and adjacent to the hall there's a little storage space with a washer, dryer, Dyson vacuum cleaner, a mop, cleaning supplies, and an extra foldable chair. The lights in the house can be adjusted as preferred with the Ikea smart lighting app as well.
The garden has a nice little lounge area which is great in the summer! The lounge cushions are stored in the shed.
I look forward to hosting you and hope you will feel right at home!

Laetitia
Hi there! My name is Laetitia, 28 years old, and since a year I'm a first time home owner based in Amsterdam. My house was totally stripped when I got it and I've completely renovated it with the help of my contractor, friends and family. It was a lot of work but so worth it!
A bit more about me, I work as a consultant and am also working on setting up my own businesses. I love traveling and working remotely, so this way I hope to find more opportunities to see new places! In my free time I love to cook, make smoothies, do pilates/yoga, meditate, go for walks, read, listen to podcasts and plan fun things with friends.
I am also active on HomeExchange and have done several exchanges so far which have been really great. Hoping to find even more exchange opportunities through this platform!
