Neighbourhood
We're located in the Aldersbrook Conservation Area, sandwiched like a calm, little island between 2 large green spaces: Wanstead Flats and Wanstead Park. This is highly unusual for London and why we love it here!
There is an English countryside feel about this area, but still very close from multi-cultura Forest Gate, Stratford and quaint Wanstead village. From our doorstep, anyone appreciating greenery and a sense of space will find endless options for nice walks and bicycle rides.
The immediate neighbourhood is friendly, quiet and residential, however there are a number of lovely pubs within walking distance (our favourite being The Golden Fleece), weekend markets, and local community events and activities, ranging from yoga and football to horse riding and live music. With a good variety of independent shops, cafes and restaurants close by (pasta & pizza, excellent bakeries, sushi, Indian, Turkish Vietnamese etc..)
Getting to my home
Our property can easily be reached from all London airports (including Luton) but Stansted is the closest and most convenient.
Nearest airport
Stansted Airport (or London City Airport)
Getting Around
A 2 min walk form the property you will find a corner shop and a petrol station (with a bakery inside) to cover all your basic needs. For a larger shop "Tesco Superstore" is a 5 min drive away.

Hi! We are a British/Danish family of 4 looking for adventures.. I work for a craft beer brewery and my wife is a technician in a ceramics studio. Our son is 7 and our daughter is nearly 4. None of them work yet (-:
Whilst we are new to this site we have done numerous, succesful swaps in the past and are looking forward to making more connections and travel plans.
Thanks for visiting our profile (-:
