General Overview

You can have the full Canadian experience of urban living while being a short jaunt to hikes, ocean, lakes and surf (20-30 mins in any direction) at our lovely home in central North End Halifax! Beautiful historic house with high-ceilings and incredible light. A cozy wood stove and wood floors throughout. Located in North End on Creighton Street. A 17 minute walk to downtown or to Dalhousie (6 min bike ride), steps away from several super-connected bus stops. 2 blocks from the trendy Agricola street strip with restaurants, bakery, micro-brew, liquor store, etc. Several playgrounds and a library nearby. We also have a rustic wilderness cabin near the ocean on a wilderness lake and near the incredible Carter’s beach in Port Mouton (1.5 hours drive) available to exchangers. A dreamy central base to explore Nova Scotia and the Maritime provinces.

Amy

We are a family of 4 from Nova Scotia, Canada with two daughters aged 4 and 7. We love experiencing new places - walking, biking, hiking, skiing, eating and surfing. John works in tech and Amy works on climate change mitigation for a non-profit. We are kind, easy going, clean and tidy. We ran an airbnb in our downstairs apartment for years, as well as rented out our home for 6 months at a time while travelling - so we are keenly aware of how to take care of others’ homes. We’ve lovingly cared for our historic house in Halifax and it’s a beautiful and comfortable place to stay!
