General overview
We’re so close to the mountains, have a huge productive greenhouse, views of the mountains and world class skiing and hiking in Kananaskis just 45 min, and Banff 1 hour from our door.
Huge yard, 17.5 acres! We have a chicken coop, and you can keep chickens for fresh eggs if you’d like to (but we can easily relocate the chickens if not). Large pond with canoe, a fort for the kids at the back.
Greenhouse has large fig trees, unlimited tomatoes in summer, kale and chard in winter and dozens of other plans and perennial herbs.
Don’t worry about lawn maintenance or shovelling snow, it’s taken care of, do as much or as little around the acreage, enjoy the view of the mountains from the hot tub, see wildlife like deer and moose in your back yard, bounce on the trampoline, etc etc etc
We have loads of cross country and downhill skiing, and snowboard equipment and you’re welcome to borrow it, same with many bicycles of all sizes to enjoy the tranquillity of the paved country roads, and still just a 10 min drive to shopping etc in Calgary, a large city with all the amenities.
Our home is on 17.5 acres and you can’t see or hear any neighbours, it is so peaceful and majestic, a true gem!
The space
Open concept house with large kitchen and living space, with grand piano and huge windows. Master bedroom with bathroom, and two other bedrooms on the main floor. Basement includes laundry, additional two bedrooms (5 in total), one with large electric standing desk and big window used as spare room and home office.
