Neighbourhood

Our village is a traditional crofting village with a local shop and cafe a mile away, and within walking distance. The shop has a 24hr laundrette and E-bike hire available. The Braighe and Bayble beaches are nearby and and are ideal for walks. Directly across the road, less than a minutes walk there is a moorland track which takes you to a loch and path- sea eagles are regularly seen here. There are great local paths to enjoy some beautiful views. There are beaches for swimming, even in winter- check out the social media for Saltbox Sauna which is regularly at one of our nearby beaches and offers a beach Sauna and cold water swimming! There is a horse riding centre at Traigh Mhor pony Trekking which offers beach horse riding and the famous Callanish stones are available for any Outlander fans! There's lots to see and explore on the island. For guests with children, we recommend the brilliant Eoropie beach play park, which is a local favourite. We can provide children's buckets, spades and nets for some rock pooling or beach days.

Nearest airport

Stornoway Airport, 3miles away.

Getting Around

Car recommended but W5 public bus passes by driveway. We are ideally located to explore the islands of Lewis and Harris, which are infact one landmass. You can also take an overnight trip to the neighbouring islands to the South of Uists, Barra and Vatersay. There is lots to see on our island of Lewis, with guests saying they wished they had stayed longer!
