Mayne Island is a very friendly community. You can relax At him, walk down to the beach or go into town to the local grocery stores, library, thrift store, bakery or restaurants Having a car is advisable as there are no buses or rideshare on the island. It’s bikeable but hilly! The community bus can be arranged to pick you up or take you to or from the ferry terminal which is just 700m down the road
