General Overview

We have a sunny three bedroom terrace house located in the centre of Wells located less than a minutes walk to the High St and all attractions of Wells. The house is on three floors offering a small rear outdoor area and central communal garden area at the front. There is a double bedroom, single bedroom and twin bedroom, with sleeping offered for five. The main bedroom has an ensuite and a larger communal bathroom is also located on the third floor. A boot and cloakroom with bathroom is located near the entry. There is a separate dining room adjacent to the kitchen and lounge room on the second floor. A small laundry leads from back door to the outdoor area. The house has been recently renovated and is a short stroll to all the major city attractions, restaurants, shops and live music.

Neighbourhood

Wells is the smallest city in the United Kingdom. Wells boasts a stunning Cathedral, Vicars Close (oldest medieval street), The Bishop’s Palace- the residence of the Bishop of Bath and Wells, stone cobbled streets and surrounded by an area of outstanding natural beauty, the Mendip Hills. Wells is in close proximity to Cheddar, Glastonbury, Bristol and Bath and the South West. Local farmers markets take place in the Market Square twice a week and live music can be heard in the local pubs. Getting to my home

Our house is 30 min from Bath or Bristol (airport)or train station and bus station, both cities with regular buses to Wells. Castle Cary Station is 20 mins away and a direct service to London. Wells has a direct bus service to London also. Wells has easy access to both the M3, M4 and M5 motorways.

Nearest airport

Bristol 30 min and London 2 hours away.

Getting Around

All shops are a short walk away with shopping trolley provided! Wells has regular bus services to Bath, Bristol, Weston Super Mare, Yeovil and Taunton via Street and Glastonbury

Lesley

We are retired couple who enjoy travelling all over the world. We currently have residences in both Sydney, Australia and in Wells, Somerset in the UK spending periods of time in each location. We have two older children currently studying at University. We have exchanged previously in France, Spain and in the UK having very positive experiences each time. We are flexible on locations and also happy to look at exchanges for short breaks in Australia as well as Europe. We can be open and flexible on timings and there would usually only be two of us exchanging depending on timing and locations. We enjoy getting out and about, walking and exploring new places.
