General Overview
We live in a quiet neighborhood where all the homes have views of Halfmoon Bay and the Pacific Ocean. Our suite is separate from the main home . It is located above the carport and features scienic views of the ocean, trees and garden.
The Space
The suite features a King Size bed, with a 40" TV mounted above the electric fireplace. A large walk in shower with bench, heated floor and custom vanity completes the bathroom. Our suite is a self-contained, private space designed for comfort and relaxation. While it does not have a full kitchen, it includes a small fridge, microwave, and coffee/tea-making facilities. Guests can enjoy dining out at the many wonderful local restaurants or bring back prepared meals to enjoy on the private patio with ocean views.
The space has its own patio with sliding patio doors with a view of a smaller bay thru the trees. There is a vaulted ceiling with large fan for comfort. Family and friends state it feels like sleeping in a luxurious treehouse.
Guest Access
There is a flight of stairs in the covered carport to access the unit.
Notes
This location is a short beautiful ferry ride from Vancouver, BC. Once you arrive on "The Coast" you will find 2 small towns, Gibsons & Sechelt that have all the amenities you may want: restaurants, grocery stores, pubs, stores, etc. These are both located within a 45 min drive of our home. Also close by there is access to beaches for swimming, kyacking and paddleboarding. Beautiful hikes thru the Pacific forest takes you to waterfalls and vistas of Smuggler's Cove and other stunning views. Numerous fresh clear lakes are great for swimming in the summer and are an easy drive away. Take a small commuter boat in the summer to the sandy beaches and warm water of Thormanby Islands. We can supply beach chairs, coolers and other conveniences to take to the Island for a day trip. At the end of Hwy 101 is Edgmont Village. Here you can hike to the Skookumchuk Rapids to watch the turning of the tide and the ocean kyackers riding the waves. Also there is the Back Eddy Pub, West Coast Wilderness Lodge and other water front conveniences where you can stop for lunch or dinner. Kyack rentals also available to explore the Ocean passage at this location. Take a day trip to Princess Louise Inlet home of Chatterbox Falls and towering mountains often spilling out more waterfalls then you can count (depending on when in the summer you go.) If you don't want to go by boat there are float planes from Sechlet Inlet that can take you there within 45 mins. Its a paradise for out door enthusiasts. We can share more locations if you are wanting to stay at our property.

Neighbourhood
This is a quiet area only accessible by car. Once at the end of our road you will find it very peaceful with options to walk to the waterfront or in the surrounding woods. There is often activity in the Bay such as eagles, birds, and sometimes whales and porpoises. In the summer Cruise Ships and Luxury Yachts travel thru the bay on the way to Alaska and can be seen from our deck.
Getting to my home
You will need a car to get to our home. The closest airport is Vancouver international. Or you could travel via taxi or Uber to the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal. Then take a beautiful 45 min BC Ferry ride to Langdale (Gibsons) where you could be picked up. There are also float planes with regular service from Vancouver to Sechelt.
Nearest airport
Vancouver International Airport; Also a Float plane option from Vancouver International to Sechelt Inlet with Harbour Air.

My husband John Devison and I live in Halfmoon Bay BC. We have a beautiful home with a large deck with a view of Halfmoon Bay and across to Vancouver Island in British Columbia Canada. I am a healthcare professional and my husband is retired from the Military and Public Service. We have grown children and no pets. There are many areas to hike, kyack, swim in the ocean and beautiful clear lakes all within a 45 min drive of our home.
