Hospitality
Hospitality Description: We love love love meeting new people and serving as local guides to them!
If you’re inquiring about hospitality - we’d love to introduce you to our community and new places to adventure - if you’d like to do so together, I have so many places to show you - whether it’s waterfalls, historical sites or middle of the woods, let’s venture out.
We are unpredictable in terms of when we can get away or host, so my calendar is wide-open, but depends on circumstances. Please reach out with your plans and ideas! ❤️

General Overview
My home is located on a corner of two roads with woods across the street and a bus stop within a 47-second-walk that will bring you downtown in 1 hour or 23 minutes by car.
Allergens alert - we have pets - 2 dogs, 2 cats and chickens. Only cats and chickens need to be taken care of -or we can arrange for our relatives to do so, just reach out!
Surrounded by amazing neighbours, wooded trails and lakes within a 5-minute walk, my house is that of an artist and is a work in progress. If you don't mind some minor inconveniences like cupboards of different colours, my house was built by a 60-year-old man in 1990s and for the past four-years it's been an Instagram-worthy renovations project.
Spacious, 3-bedrooms, my house is fun.
My kitchen is a place to cook — I cook sometimes three times a day, dishes of all colours and nations, and have almost every possible gadget you might need. I am just now starting my vegetable garden and don't have any canning equipment, so if your plan was to can some tomatoes while you're in Nova Scotia, just let me know and I will pick some up for you. :D
My bedrooms are a place to relax — drained in dark moody colours you will get a nice sleep on a king size bed with two blankets (stronger marriage tip right there, lol) and a walk-in closet with lots of space for your stuff (we are putting our clothes away while we travel), and a walk-in shower paradise bathroom.
A kid's bedroom is next to the main bedroom and the main-floor bathroom where you will find a tub and a shower. A cute little reading nook and an egg chair with a double-size bed (fits 5'7" -172 cms adult) with another closet to store your stuff. This bedroom is also colour-drenched in a dark, relaxing colour, creating a cool atmosphere, making you want to hang out there — with the woods across the street for a view, you will forget you are 20 minutes away from the city.
Another bedroom with the same-sized bed and a dedicated office space with a Murphy Queen size bed is found downstairs, as well as the laundry room with a washer and a dryer, a drying rack and a sink to wash your smaller dogs after a walk in the forest nearby.
A rec room with a pull-out couch is also found downstairs - here you can read all the books you find or play a piano or a guitar. There is another 3-pc bathroom with a small walk-in shower as well.
Our yard had a fenced-in area where you or your pup can play — there is a lot of space — whether to just do cartwheels in the grass, or pick berries in the front yard, or sit by a fire pit in the newly fenced-in area.
Large wrap-around porch is a cool place to hang out as well and is decorated with lights and has seating for an evening talk or an afternoon tea.
The Space
I constantly renovate decorate to make the space work for us and creating as many spots for relaxation as possible.
Spacious deck is nice for an evening cup of tea or a conversation, so is the backyard gazebo. Pool is being installed this summer and I will update the listing when it’s done!
Designer artist house, I look to combine functionality, style, and my love for travel into every inch of space in this house. Currently working on Zen-fying the outdoor and indoor space for maximum relaxation.
Guest Access
2 floors - main bedroom with a king-size bed and private luxury bathroom, and a second bedroom with a queen-size bed and a reading nook. Between these bedrooms there is a bathroom with a tub and a shower. Living room and kitchen are on the main floor.
The downstairs spaces features a third bedroom, with a full-size bed, a rec-room with a pull-out couch/bed that our kid decided to claim as their bedroom, so it's separated by a curtain at the moment - eventually it will have an actual wall so it will become a fourth bedroom. Downstairs you will also find an office space, laundry room and a small art/storage room full of board games, books and art supplies.
Notes
Amazing coffee machine - if you're a fan of cappuccinos, espressos, or GOAT coffee in general, this is a one-do-it all-machine with coffee made from freshly ground beans on demand.
Pasta maker, panini maker, a giant steamer for dumplings cause we make "manti" on a semi-monthly basis and make our own fresh pasta every week.

Neighbourhood
This is a very walking-friendly neighborhood - don't get me wrong - we have walking trails, within a minute from our houses, so you’re in total nature, but you will not find a grocery store or a convenience store within a two-minute walk. The closest one is about 25-minute walk on said trail, called BLT Trail. 3 minute drive to the convenience store, 6 minute drive to a plaza with a grocery store, a gas station, Dollarama, Pet Store and a liquor store and a microbrewery, local farm market store, a pizza and pizza and another pizza store just a minute away from the main Timberlea “plaza”. Our province only sells B at the designated liquor stores or private microbreweries.
The nearest convenience store is a 30-minute walk (beautiful walk though through a dedicated walking trail within the wood I keep talking about) or a 3-minute drive, we live on a street that is the first street to be cleared of snow as it is on a bus route - and the bus comes starting at 5:30 in the morning, I can set my alarm to it) yet, I almost never hear it or any noise as a matter of fact - it is really living quietly while being in the middle of things — the nearest grocery store is a 6-minute drive by car — and in the little shopping centre there you will find a gas station, a pet store, a Dollarama, and a full-on grocery store where you can buy lobsters any time of day. Dunno if it's a unique thing or not, but thinking about it, being able to buy lobsters 6-minutes away from your house is a pretty amazing experience.
completely isolated woods ( expect for a highway that runs behind those woods, but still feels quite isolated) are found within 5 minute walk, so iff you're brining your four-legged buddy, they are going to love exploring the mushrooms, fallen leafs and breathtaking trees and boulders, or just wait for you to take in all that beauty before proceeding to the next trail.
Wishing 30 minute walk on the same trail you will find a beautiful lake, an Anglican Church with its own lake/river with amazing views and a beach to enjoy those and just tranquility yet a busy road to take you where you need to go.
Getting to my home
About 40 minutes by car away from the airport, 15 minutes by car from a major shopping centre and 6 minutes away from a grocery store.
Nearest airport
40 minutes away from the International Halifax Airport.
Getting Around
We have a major bus route stop about 1-minute-walk away from us - thus our road is always snow-cleared first, when a major storm hits. This country and provinces are mainly car-oriented, so public transport is always iffy - either late, or stuck in traffic, but nevertheless, it's here, right at our door-step! Will take you downtown in an hour or so and to a major shopping centre that has Costco, HomeDept, An Asian Store, Winners, Henry's Camera, A Movie Cineplex, A mini-golf centre, a pool hub, called Bayers Lake within 30 minutes by bus. But you're not really to shop for screwdrivers or giant packs of toilet paper, are you??
You will be downtown in about 1 hour-1, 20 minutes direct by one bus and you'll be marvelling at the Halifax Harbourfront in no time...well ~90 minutes, really.
We have an option to car swap as well.
