Neighbourhood
We are located near miles of trails to beaches, old growth forests, lakeshores, wildlife-rich wetlands, scenic vistas, historic sites, as well as two world-renowned golf courses (Chambers Bay, sight of the 2015 US Open, and McCormick Woods). Craft breweries, distilleries, farmer's markets and touring gardens are all close by (I highly recommend the Bloedel Reserve Gardens, on Bainbridge Island - wow!). Picturesque seaports and nature areas are within easy driving distance and make for perfect day trips: Gig Harbor, Poulsbo, Port Townsend, Winslow/Bainbridge Island, Kingston, Olympic National Park, Hood Canal, and more.
Nearest airport
Sea-Tac International Airport, approx. one hr drive from our place.
Getting around
The ferry to Seattle is just two miles down the road from our place, and 15 minutes in the other direction you'll find Port Orchard's picturesque downtown, filled with pubs, craft breweries, antique shops, a thriving marina, and the local Sinclair Inlet ferry.
