Just 20 minutes from Portland and the airport, and 20 minutes to Freeport’s charming shops and outlets, our location makes it effortless to explore the best of Southern Maine. We’re only 10 minutes off the highway, so whether you’re headed to the coast, the mountains, or a local brewery, everything is within easy reach.
Cumberland offers scenic, dog-friendly walking trails and even a local ocean beach to explore. It’s the ideal spot for guests who want a taste of authentic Maine, peaceful mornings, starry nights, and adventure in every direction
The Space
The space is a cozy, private daylight basement apartment located in our home. While the apartment has its own separate entrance, parking and full privacy, guests may occasionally hear the happy sounds of our two golden retrievers upstairs. We take pride in keeping the space clean, comfortable, and welcoming. You’ll find a spacious king-sized adjustable Sleep Number bed for a restful night’s sleep and all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Wander down to the bench that overlooks the small stream that winds through the backyard and listen to the birds.
Guest Access
It is a daylight basement apartment. All one level with separate parking and entrance. You will be issued a code to unlock the door.
Notes
In the summer, we keep our pontoon boat docked at a nearby marina about 25 minutes away. If timing works out and you’d like to go for a ride, we’d love to take you out for a cruise.

Neighbourhood
Our home is located on a three acre lot with plenty of privacy and wooded area. There are some neighboring houses. 1 minute down the road is a 24 hour gas station as well as a pizza place with small bar, and a small locally owned coffee drive thru.
Getting to my home
We are located about 10 minutes off interstate 95.
Nearest airport
PWM is about 20 minutes from us.
Getting Around
Although Uber and Lyft are available in Portland metro, they are few and far between the father away from the city you get. We recommend renting a car to explore the area.
