General overview
Our home is truly a one of a kind, and it took us 2 years of renovations to bring it all back to its former glory. The plot actually has several buildings and separate areas, making it not just the one home.
Currently we are still working on the pool area and the garden, so pictures from the outside will follow as soon as this is finished early 2025.
The space
The main house has 4 floors.
Basement has a laundry room with washer and dryer, and access to an industrial car elevator (restored from the 60ties) to a large indoor parking / storage area.
Ground floor has a open plan kitchen and living area. Kitchen is fully equiped as we love cooking and baking.
First floor has 3 bedrooms (master has a 180 by 200cm bed, the kids bedroom has a 140 by 200cm bed, and the guest bedroom has a single bed), and 2 bathrooms with showers.
Attic has our daughters room, with a 160 by 200 bed and a small ensuite bathroom with shower.
Crossing the garden via the kitchen door and you can see the guesthouse. Which is a fully independant 1 bedroom place with own access, full kitchen, updated bathroom in orginal 60ties decor, 160 by 200cm bed and its own large balcony.
Going further down via the garden and under the guesthouse, you will find our home office which will be closed, and there is an entertainment area for the kids with tv, playstation, games and hangout.
The lowest part of the garden is the pool area, with poolhouse and full bathroom with shower and bath, and an outside bar, bbq and kitchen area to enjoy long evenings outside.
In between there are several terraces to relax in the shade or sun.
Guest access
Both inside and outside spaces have plenty of stairs and different height levels, so it is not suitable for people with mobility issues or small children.
Notes
We can exchange our car, and have parking.
There is aircon in the main living area, and the attic.

Neighbourhood
Carcavelos is a residential area right in the middle of the Lisbon - Cascais route.
We have easy access to public transportation with the train station at a 5 min walk away, bringing you to either Lisbon or Cascais in 20 min.
Within a 10 min walk you will reach Carcavelos beach, where you will find plenty of restaurants, beach sports, and surf clubs.
Supermarket is a 5 min walk away, as are pretty much all amenities as we are in the heart of the village. Every thursday there is market day at the local market area.
Getting to my home
We are about 40 min away from Lisbon airport, and if we have a driver available will be able to arrange for a pick up.
There is easy access to the highway, bringing you to Lisbon, Cascais or Sintra within 20-30 min.
And there is the train station at a 5 min walk, plus various busses and a taxi stand.
