We had the most wonderful stay at Lucy’s home! We were greeted with chocolates and wine and a warm and family friendly home. My daughter felt at home right away and we really appreciated having space and toys to play with. It really did feel like home. We were able to catch the bus to the train station and then a direct train right into the centre or London. It was fantastic. Lucy was very easy to communicate with and made the whole process very easy and straightforward. I appreciated Lucy’s kindness throughout it all. I would love to do another swap in the future! Thank you so very much Lucy!

Our experience with Lucy’s place and her way of approaching us from the day of booking to checkout was amazing! Very clear instructions for everything we could possibly need. Upon arrival the place was super tidy, clean and welcoming and we felt at home right away. Lucy left lovely gingerbread house presents for our two children which the kids were absolutely thrilled about. We would definitely book again for our next trip. A big thank you to Lucy and family for opening up her beautiful home to us over the Christmas period, it really was a wonderful Christmas away from home.xxx

We had a wonderful stay at Émilie and Julien’s beautiful home. The house is spacious and comfortable, with a lovely garden and the perfect terrace for sitting out in the evenings. Our kids especially loved the swings, trampoline and swimming pool! Émilie provided a really helpful guide to local places to visit and was on hand to help with practical things like finding nearby supermarkets. Communication was excellent throughout. Thank you so much for having us – we’d happily come back!

Tünde is a very friendly host, and offered us so much help and advice about Budapest (on our very first trip to Hungary)! We were a large group and Tünde prepared beds for all of us. She was really communicative throughout our stay, and welcomed us with food and treats for the kids on our arrival. We also really enjoyed looking after Bon Bon the cat, who was adorable. We would love to come back to Budapest one day!

Our week at Maya and Johns beautiful cottage in the Cambrian mountains was amazing from start to finish! The drive in is absolutely stunning. You approach their house down a long driveway passing through the hills, a lake and lots of sheep! We received a very warm welcome on our arrival, including home made bread and jam, as well as a hamper of tea, coffee and treats. Our kids enjoyed the toys Maya brought out for them, and they also have a lovely collection of children’s stories amongst the many books in their home. The rooms are really clean and comfortable, each with their own bathroom and we loved taking in the views from the window seats upstairs. In the mornings there were also some great sunrises from the dining room, which were a lovely start to the day. There are so many places to visit in the area, and Maya gave us lots of great suggestions including Harlech and Powis castles to name just a couple. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend an exchange with Maya and John and hope to come back again one day!

Stella and her family were marvellous hosts! Even before we met, Stella was very friendly and helpful. She communicated clearly about everything before the exchange, so we knew exactly what to expect when we arrived. Her house is spacious, peaceful, and comfortable with lovely views from the master bedroom over the surrounding countryside. It also offers a fantastic setting for exploring Paris, which is easily reachable by car or train. When we arrived we were pleased to find fresh bread, coffee and delicious macarons. Stella also got some toys and a pool table out for our children which was so thoughtful! We would be delighted to exchange with Stella again in the future.

We had a wonderful weekend in the Cotswolds at Andrew and Gisela’s gorgeous home! Their house is beautiful, clean and comfortable, and is situated on a very peaceful lane with beautiful views over the surrounding valley and countryside. Stroud is a pretty town with a lovely common and local shops. It is also very easy to travel to all that the Cotswolds has to offer. Andrew prepared a very useful home manual which had all we needed to know, and we also found everything easy and straightforward to use. Both Andrew and Gisela were great at keeping in touch during our stay. They made us freshly baked muffins for our arrival and we especially loved their cinema room. Gisela even got some toys and Lego out for our children which was so thoughtful! We would definitely recommend an exchange with Andrew and Gisela, and we hope to come back again one day.
