Location! Location! Location!
Perfect spot to visit Seattle, 15 minutes to the train, and the ferry is within walking distance. So much to see and do around there.
The house was perfect. A great place to watch the ferries come and go. Great setup, everything we needed and more. Fresh vegetable garden with delicious tomatoes and blueberries.
Saving the best for last:
John and Celine were the best hosts. She is a very knowledgeable plant-based foodie, and John is a music connoisseur. We had a great time and learned a lot. They suggested several places to go which were all fabulous. We definelty plan to catch up with them again in the near future.
I really enjoyed my time at John and Celine's place. The location is very scenic with lush greenery. Walking distance to the Mukilteo waterfront. The house was well stocked and communication was easy.
Beautiful home and great view. Very quiet neighborhood and close to the beach and ferry to Whidbey Island which is an amazing island to explore. There are tenants in the downstairs apartment who are very nice and share the laundry room. John and Celine are very accommodating and helpful.
Celine and John were great guests. They left our house clean and tidy. We would love to have them back again.
John and Celine were perfect guests. We communicated many times before, during, and after the exchange and felt very comfortable with them staying at our home. They left our little bungalow just how we had left it and maybe a little better.
We welcome them back anytime and highly recommend them as a PLU guest.
We liked Celine and John from the start after they suggested a zoom call to discuss our upcoming exchange, which was the first exchange for both of us. The video call really gave us a sense of trust and comfort and we felt good about them coming. As expected they ended up being wonderful guests and now lifelong friends.
Celine and John are interesting, talented, great communicators and we enjoyed the time we shared together. They kindly invited us to dinner and Celine had prepared a delicious and inspiring five course plant-based meal. It was fun learning new foods, spices and recipes.
We love when our guests are independent and discover things on their own with minimal guidance. We feel it makes the experience more memorable and more one’s own. Celine and John were always out and about, enjoying the area and finding new things to share with us. We were especially happy they were able to visit Sedona, Grand Canyon and other Arizona jewels.
Our home was left in perfect condition, even above and beyond. Linens were washed and put back on the bed and the whole place was clean and tidy. They even left us some puzzles left for others to enjoy.
John and Celine’s home town in the Pacific Northwest is an area rich in nature and beauty that we're looking forward to exploring with ferries, walks and bikes.
Celine and John are joyful and gracious guests that we’d welcome back with open arms, big hearts and hugs.
Kristen and Warren
It was a pleasure hosting John and Celine. Communication was easy and effective. They left house in great shape for the next guest.
We have new friends
We had a good stay at Melanie’s house. Great location. Not far from the Eldeweiss resort. I enjoyed easy access to walks.
Lyn and Ken were easy to work with and planned. They came to our rescue when the original exchange fell through.
We enjoyed their home.
They have a star fruit tree that was in season. We had star fruits everyday for breakfast.
We can’t wait to have them in Mukilteo.
It was easy to communicate with Melanie. She left our house clean.
Here’s a draft for your feedback:
We are beyond grateful to Kristen and Warren for the incredible experience they provided during our Home Exchange in Phoenix. From the very start, arranging the exchange was seamless and pleasant. As newcomers to the platform, we appreciated their patience, kindness, and the effort they put into making us feel welcome. Meeting them was like reconnecting with old friends—we immediately bonded, and their warmth and hospitality made our stay unforgettable.
The apartment was absolutely wonderful—beautifully decorated. It was the perfect size for us, thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed, including a kitchen, a washer and dryer, and a dishwasher. Beautiful landscape. The location was ideal, with a Catholic church just four minutes walk away—a true blessing for us—and we loved exploring the fantastic neighborhood on long walks. Kristen even took the time to walk with me, pointing out local gems in the area.
My arm was in a brace and Kristen worked on it. She is a myofascial therapist.
We received a beautiful Christmas card and great gift at Christmas from them: UNBELIEVABLE!
One highlight of the location was its proximity to the Biltmore Hotel Resort, just six minutes away by car. The Arizona canal there offered an incredible two-hour walk to Scottsdale—such a picturesque and peaceful experience.
Kristen and Warren’s kindness and thoughtfulness made our time in Phoenix truly special, and we are so excited to host them in Seattle in the future. We look forward to sharing meals, stories, and music with them as they opened their hearts and home to us.
Thank you, Kristen and Warren, for this fantastic exchange. We are so glad to have found kindred spirits through People Like
Us Home Exchange. You truly set the bar high, and we are immensely grateful for your generosity and friendship.
Warm regards,
Celine and John

We absolutely love living in the Pacific Northwest, with its breathtaking natural beauty, vibrant culture, and endless opportunities for exploration. However, during the dark and damp winters, we look for sunnier escapes. Since we’re not skiers, snowshoers, or hunters, we prefer destinations that offer warmth, sunshine, and activities better suited to our lifestyle.
John is an avid reader and enjoys playing the guitar, while Celine loves to cook, read, and share laughter.
We are proud parents to five grown children and 4 grand kids who are all out of the house.
Our home also includes our beloved Coco, a 7-year-old labradoodle who is incredibly friendly and a joy to be around.
