Hospitality Description: We're hoping to exchange with families in our home when we are away. Currently we have a renter in a fourth bedroom, but she would not stay on the property while you are there so you can have the whole house to yourself. I have not listed the fourth bedroom on the amenities or included it in pictures.

General Overview
Our house has a very unique layout providing three bedrooms and two baths upstairs for our family to use as well as an additional bedroom and bathroom below that we rent. You can relax in the front yard, backyard, garden on the side of the house, or the covered patio in the back. Our living/dining room is great for entertaining and we have all the amenities to cook at home. Downtown Colorado Springs is a 3 minute drive or 20 minute walk through old historic neighborhoods. We are at the base of Pikes Peak, a famous 14,000 ft mountain you can hike, drive, or ride the train to the top of and there are multiple beautiful areas to hike in every direction from our house.

Getting to my home
You can either fly into Denver International Airport or Colorado Springs Airport. Denver is usually cheaper, but it really depends on the airline and where you're coming from. Sometimes Colorado Springs means less connections.
Colorado Springs Airport It is about 25 minutes Southeast of our house
Denver International Airport( DIA) Is about 1 and 1/2 hours drive away.
Getting Around
Colorado Springs has a decent bus system, and you can connect by shuttles from Denver and the airport if you absolutely need to, but really the best is to rent a car. You will have much more freedom getting to tourist spots, grocery stores, etc. Things in Colorado are fairly spread out.

People Like Us Local Guide
I would be happy to meet for coffee or a drink at one of the many local watering holes nearby. Or if you have kids, I'm happy to meet at the park or library and chat through some of the options of things to do with kids in the area. I'm also available by phone if you just want to talk through your itinerary and get feedback on areas you are thinking about visiting.

We are a family of four who love Colorado but also traveling and adventure. We are fairly active and enjoy trying new things, whether it be a new sport, craft or different style of food. We are healthy eaters and cook lots of things from scratch. Homeschooling and early retirement allows us to have a fairly flexible schedule so we are looking forward to finding ways to explore the world affordably, learning and experiencing new cultures together and also sharing the great things in Colorado with others.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
