General overview

My home is a sanctuary and a place to be shared with family and friends! A modern, cosy two-bed, two-bath flat in Zone 3, West London. THE SPACE. This is a modern two-bedroom, two bathroom flat in West London. It is an airy and sunny flat with lots of windows and all-day sunlight. Though there are good curtains too! The flat has its own entrance and has step-free access. There’s a master bedroom with a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom; a second bedroom with a functional bed (single turns into king size bed) and a workspace, a second bathroom with a bath; open space kitchen/dining and living room with a sofa bed. The dining table can double up as a workspace (sits 6-8 people). The living room can be extended into the cosy patio in warm summer days. The flat can fit up to six people, however keep in mind that the third bed is a small double sofa bed in the living room. If you require a travel cot or anything to make your stay more comfortable, let me know and I may be able to arrange before your arrival! LOCATION. The flat is located in a private, quiet, secluded development away from the main roads. It sits on the border between Ealing and Brentford and has excellent transport links. It is located in an easily commutable distance between Heathrow Airport and central London. Zone 3 Northfields station is a 10-15 minute walk or a quick bus ride away, Brentford train station is a 7-minute walk, and Elizabeth line (West Ealing or Ealing Broadway stations) are a short bus ride away. The area is family-friendly and should you decide to live like a local - you can enjoy many of the green spaces the area offers - Blondin Park, Boston Manor, River Brent walks, Brentford waterside, Lammas Park or Gunnersbury Park as well as many independent cafés and restaurants of Northfields avenue or Brentford riverside. IMPORTANT: the flat comes with two lovely, gentle cats. They are quite independent, have their own outdoor access via a smart cat-flap, but you will be expected to look after them a little and be kind to them (mainly food and cuddles as they have free outdoor access for all else). If you’re going away during your stay, any back up care can also be easily arranged. PARKING. Visitor parking may be arranged, please let me know.

Kristine

Kristine here :) I am 32 y.o., originally from Latvia, but have lived most of my life in London. I am re-discovering life solo. I may travel alone, with friends or family (will always share my plans in advance). Apart from London, I have lived in Daugavpils (LV), Birmingham (UK), Berlin and Moscow. I studied international relations, had a brief stint in diplomacy and now work for one of the world's largest news organizations. My lifestyle is career-focused and I frequently travel for work, but love to extend business travel to explore and spend quality time with my family (mum, sister, dad, brother, sister 2, niece - we don't travel all at once) as well as lifelong friends. I also love making new connections and draw inspiration from other people. I have hosted friends of friends and acquaintances previously (by word of mouth) in London while away from my home (which is when I realised that home exchange is something that aligns with me very well!). I am yet to arrange my first exchange, but feel so excited already. It takes a certain mindset to exchange homes and travel to places one may not have considered before - I am glad to have found a global and open-minded community.
