I have never moved. I have lived in the same house and cared for my parents here until they both passed away. Last year, I completely renovated it to make it my own and now it is warm, cosy and inviting. There's lot of colour and if you love reading, I have just installed my own small library (a childhood dream!). You'll have plenty of books to read in English and Italian. There are lots of cute nooks to have breakfast and share a pot of tea, but also a 10-seat dining table for when you invite new friends over.
The space
Two bedrooms have large balconies with leafy green privacy. The library has a little daybed/reading nook. The open plan makes it feel spacious. All new gas heating and two air conditioners ensure that you're comfy all year round. There’s a seperate office for remote working and a big front and back yard to enjoy your down time.
Guest access
Double story with shallow staircase that’s very easy to climb. Bedrooms and bathroom upstairs. All other living areas downstairs.
Notes
Long driveway / covered carport accommodates a couple of cars. Lots of fruit trees (orange, mandarin, peach, fig, persimmon).

Neighbourhood
I am only 5 km from city centre, easily accessed by two different bus systems (10 mins ride). Uber into town is usually around $15 to $25. I live next to Linear Park which stretches for kilometres from the ocean to the hills. I often see koalas when I go walking. 30 min drive to the sea and the same to get to the lovely hills area. Surrounded my wineries if you’re a wine lover!
Getting to my home
40 min taxi/ Uber from airport. Good bus transport too but will need to walk about 500 meters from bus stop to my house. Everything in Australia is very far away :-) but lots of direct flights to all major capital cities (50 mins to Melbourne).
Nearest airport
Adelaide airport is about 40 mins by car
Getting around
City centre is very easy to access. Local large shopping centre about 600 m walk from my house. It has major supermarket but also chemist, newsagent, post office, liquor store, cafes and other speciality shops.

Hi there. I'm a freelance copy editor and writer looking to explore the world. I am single, family orientated and house proud. I love challenging myself and pushing my boundaries (but don't do extreme sports!). I was a committed and dedicated carer for many years but now it's time to focus on me.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
