General overview

Welcome to sunny Queensland. My 8-year-old son and I would love to welcome you to our beautiful part of the world. We live on the sunny Gold Coast of Australia in a much-loved destination for people travelling to Australia. It is a child's dream with all of the theme parks within short driving distance and of course lovely beaches within a half hours drive. Our home is situated approximately halfway between Brisbane and the Gold Coast and only a few minutes' drive from the major freeway that connects the two. We are set in the lovely residential area of Jacobs Ridge Estate which is a safe and a quiet residential area. Our village is growing due to its proximity to the two major cities but is still far enough away from all the craziness. We are a 5 minutes' walk to a large Supermarket and small village shopping area. Short drives to Beaches, National Parks and Tamborine Mountain.

The space

We have a large open planned modern 4-bedroom split level home. It has a large kitchen area which opens up with bifold sliding doors onto an alfresco area by the pool. Our pool is situated in the centre of the outdoor area and the house wraps around one end of the pool. You have visual sight of it from most areas of the home. We have two bathrooms, one at the front of the house as an ensuite to the main bedroom and one at the rear of the house where the other 3 rooms are situated. The kitchen is well appointed with open plan dining area and loungeroom and a walk in pantry. The outdoor area is lovely to sit out and enjoy a coffee or wine throughout the evening as you relax by the pool.

- 5 min walk to major Supermarket and small village shops - 5 min drive to local train station which takes you directly into either Brisbane or Broadbeach - 10 mins drive to Dreamworld and White-Water World - 20 mins to Movie World & Wet N Wild - 30 to Sea World - 30 Minutes to Brisbane City - 35 minutes to Broadbeach Other places of interest close by include Outdoor Spectacular and Top Golf

Neighbourhood

We live in a beautiful tree lined secure and friendly neighborhood. Approximately 1 minutes' walk at the end of my street is a small playground for young children which includes a fenced Basketball and tennis court area which is set on a small reserve. A short bike ride away you will find other parks and reservation areas which include cycling trails. It is close to local shops and public transport (buses)

Getting to my home

We are situated halfway between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. We are a 2-minute drive from the main freeway (M1) which will take you to both Brisbane or Broadbeach centre (Surfers Paradise) Trains - The Gold Coast City Line and Brisbane Airport Line both run directly through our train station at Ormeau. (5 min drive from our house) The Brisbane City Airport train runs directly from inside the Brisbane Airport precinct and takes around 1hr 15mins.

Nearest airport

- 59km to Gold Coast Airport (approx. 47 minutes' drive depending on traffic) - 53km to Brisbane airport (approx. 43mins depending on traffic).

Getting around

We are a 5-minute walk to Coles supermarket and small shopping complex. We are about 1hr 40mins from The Sunshine Coast approximately 149km's. We have three bicycles to get around on. I would be open to discussion on exchanging vehicles.
