General Overview
We built this property with so much love and really focused on creating a space for our daughter to enjoy nature. There are 2 cozy cottages with bunk beds and a private bathroom. There is also a separate bathroom so that you don't have to wake anyone up if you are enjoying the fire at night. A complete outdoor kitchen is connected to a lovely pavilion to enjoy the morning birds and sunrise. There is a great park for children to play and run free. The entire property is enclosed and is secure. A lovely river crosses the bottom of the property where you can swim in clean, clear water. Enjoy the views of Los Nevados (volcanos) and coffee farms surrounding us.
The Space
Cottage 1 is a 1 bedroom with private bathroom. The bedroom has bunk beds with a bottom pull out. The top bunk is a semi-double (1.20m), the middle is full (1.40m) and the bottom is semi-double (1.20m). The bathroom is complete with hot water in the shower.
Cottage 2 has a trundle bed with the main bed (1.40m) and the pull out bed (1.20m). The bathroom is complete with hot water in shower.
The separate bathroom is also a full bathroom complete with hot water.
The outdoor kitchen is fully stocked and covered incase of rain. There is a small fridge, gas stove, french press coffee maker, electric kettle, etc.
The pavilion is complete with a gas grill and many family games.
There is a park including a slide and play house for kids.
A river at the bottom of the property is clean and nice for cooling off.
Guest Access
To enter the cottage, bathroom, kitchen and pavilion there is one small step. The main area of the property is a nice, flat grassy area. There is a set of stairs that will take you down part of the property to a swing, and through the mango, mandarin and lime trees. To continue to the river, it is a dirt hill. There is a large parking area that can acomodate 4-5 cars. The property is fenced in and secure.

Heather's lovely family of three were awesome guests in our home! Jean and I were so pleased that they took care of our home as if it was theirs. They watered a 1/2 dozen house and patio plants. Our home was left as clean as it was left for their stay. Heather and her family are always welcome for a future stay in our home. We hope to return the hospitality with a future stay in their Colombian home.
Hal and Jean were fabulous hosts. Their home was even better than the description. It was the perfect place for us to enjoy Aruba. They were so helpful and quick to respond during the whole process. The house is literally 6 minutes from the beach, and so close to most everything. It is in a quiet, safe neighborhood. The pool is the cherry on top! Thank you Hal and Jean for sharing your home with us. My daughter says its was the best house in Aruba! We hope to make another exchange in the future!
