General overview

For the summer holidays we are looking for an exchange between JULY 20 and AUGUST 11, 2024. Several days to a week. (abroad) We are also open to the occasional exchange during a WEEKEND. We have a spacious corner house in the pleasant village of Borne (Overijssel - Twente) with a lovely garden and spacious veranda, where you can enjoy the sun early in the year. There is also a small vegetable garden. This one would like some water in dry times :) We also have 2 sweet chickens. (These also like to get some food and water every day) We are happy to take our old dog with us, unless you are open to taking care of her. Of course you can also take your dog with you during the exchange. We live in a quiet, neat neighborhood and within a 100-meter walk you are in the countryside, where you can take beautiful walking/cycling trips. Or how about a sporty canoe trip on the beautiful Bornse stream? There are beautiful ponds, swimming pools and fun amusement parks nearby, 10-30 minutes away. 1.5 hours drive from Amsterdam and 15 minutes drive from Germany. We also have a nice pimped caravan, so we can also arrange an exchange with that.

The space

House (165m2) with spacious, playfully laid out garden. Living room, eat-in kitchen. 1 bedroom with shower. Office space, utility/laundry room on the ground floor. 2 bedrooms/bathroom 1st floor. 1 attic/bedroom. 4 bedrooms: 1 spacious bedroom with 200x220 bed. 2 doubles 140x200 and a bedroom with a spacious single bed 120x200. Carport for 1 car and driveway for 1 car.

House with 3 floors. Ground floor has a bedroom and bathroom with walk-in shower.

Don't hesitate to contact us. We will always answer, even if it is not what we are looking for. We do not smoke, so smoking is not allowed in the house or veranda. We are also open to house and pet sitting during the holiday period at our home and exchange house.

Twente is known for its beautiful nature! And since we live 100 meters away from this beautiful nature, this is perfect for beautiful walks, bike rides and canoe trips. And you don't have to go far for nice swimming water. Various swimming pools in the area, but also beautiful natural lakes nearby. Larger cities are a 15-minute drive away (Enschede) Several amusement parks within a 15-30 minute drive. Nice museums and more...   • We have had a simultaneous exchange with Kristel and her family recently .That was an amazing experience. I absolutely loved Kristel’s response time, kindness and helpfulness. She gave us so many wonderful tips about things happening around! To be honest, everyday we did something that she advised us 😃 The house is very comfortable, veranda is charming and chickens great entertainment. The location itself couldn’t be better.
